The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit is assisting the Maywood and Hackensack Police Departments in an investigation into the details of the death of 39-year-old Maywood Police Sergeant Jason Y. Liaban, who sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound just after 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023. The death is not suspected to involve criminal activity, but the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated.

Many of my clients express an interest in going beyond the cellphone for travel photos, but don’t want to be a professional, so here are a few suggestions for you. Note: Take cameras with you as carry on and remove the batteries as well. I made the mistake in the past checking my gear in and they removed my batteries. I ended up paying a fortune to replace the batteries – ugh.

Hackensack NJ, the City of Hackensack has hired five firefighters using a $1 million federal grant to bolster the department’s ranks as the city grows. Five probationary firefighters Anthony Alexander, 28, Ruben Ceballos, 29, Anthony Colantino, 36, Corey Eyer, 23, and Charles Redstone IV, 25 ,have begun training at the fire academy to prepare them to join the 100-member department.
