First of all why is Christopher Rutishause e-Mailing plans for the park to Bill Gilsenan? Why is Gilsenan getting involved in the park? Im tired of all the so called Demigod running this Village. Paul Vagianos, John Saraceno Ed Sullivan, Tom Hillman and now Bill Gilsenan. Their names were not on the Village ballot for council. This council has to watch very closely what goes on because there has always been a small group self proclaimed Demigod who try to run this town from behind the scenes. Simply voting out the 3 Amigos is not going to stop this because its Systemic.
VM, Assistant to the VM, HR, Village Engineer, Superintendent of Parks and Rec. and the above named are running this town not the new council. Poster just need to reflect back to some of the fiascos that have happen in the last 4 years to find the common thread. Wise up new Village Council and get a grip on this. Don’t let them distract you while they plan or plot.
Day to day management of the Village does actually fall to the VM and her subordinates. How does what you describe fail to square with what is expected to occur under the Faulkner Act?
The so called “renovation” of the park has not been voted on by the Council. and obviously the populace of Ridgewood do not want it done. Where is the VM getting money to continue pushing for the park?
The Faulkner Act DOES NOT give her the authority to keep issues involving the expenditure of taxpayer funds secret from any or all Council members.
I believe that Bill Gilsenan was a volunteer who graciously gave his time to work on submitting potential ideas for this project before it was submitted to the last council. He came up with potential ideas with the help of others to improve the park and made a formal presentation to the council on his own time as a volunteer. We should be thankful that we have people trying to make Ridgewood better. That doesn’t mean that the council will accept every idea that he or his group came up with. And no, I’m not Bill Gilsenan if you are wondering.

Yes he is 12:16. Only a certain group get those kind of e-mails. Other that ask question are called names by the VM. Check previous post on this blog and see what Roberta e-mail about residents that ask questions. I guess when your in like Billy you get the nice e-mails. Does Billy Boy have any plans for Kings Pond, Schedlar Park, Tween Pond? Or are the Demigods just interested in the CBD. I guess Valley Hospital is not giving Billy Boy enough work.

Well hopefully they’re running the town, that’s what the Village Council hires them to do. The Council is only the governing body, they don’t manage the Village.

You know 6:08, I’m confused by your comments. Valley’s redevelopment plan has been rejected twice. The parking garage is dead. High density housing is dead. And yet we’re stuck with Ken Smith Chevrolet, Brogan Cadillac, the toxic old Town Garage, etc.Who exactly has been fooled here?
