Passaic County Private Jet Pilot Sentenced to 13 Years in Prison for Cocaine Trafficking

Ringwood NJ, A Passaic County, New Jersey, man was sentenced today to 156 months in prison for trafficking hundreds of kilograms of cocaine into New Jersey and New York and then laundering over $10.2 million in cash drug proceeds, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Khamraj Lall, 52, of Ringwood, New Jersey, was found guilty previously by a federal jury in Trenton of all eight counts of a superseding indictment, including counts charging him with conspiracy to distribute cocaine, money laundering, structuring monetary instruments, and conspiracy to commit money laundering and structuring. U.S. District Judge Anne E. Thompson imposed the sentence today in Trenton federal court.

Saddle River Police and Fire Rescue Trapped Driver

Saddle River NJ, Friday Morning morning, the Saddle River Fire Department was dispatched to Route 17 North & E Allendale Rd for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment. Saddle River Police Department, Chief Salvatori and Assistant Chief Kaufman arrived on scene to find a tractor trailer leaning to one side, with one occupant trapped within the vehicle. Rescue 1142 (OIC Lt. Pink) and Engine 1131 (OIC Lt. Biondi) arrived on scene, and began securing and stabilizing the tractor trailer. Crews then removed the passenger door, and assisted Valley Health System BLS & ALS crews remove the patient from the vehicle. Once the patient was removed from the vehicle, Fire department crews awaited the arrival of NJDOT, Bergen County Hazmat, and the tow to remove the vehicle. Saddle River Operations also assisted in the removal process.

NJ and NY Release Pair of Extremely Dangerous Child Rapists

Trenton NJ, Federal immigration officials say two alleged child rapists are on the run endangering the public after authorities in New York and New Jersey refused to hold the suspects in jail for ICE.

According to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Mexican nationals were each taken into custody for separate incidents in the Tri-State Area on charges they sexually assaulted a minor.

Acting ICE director calls out jurisdictions with sanctuary policies for threatening public safety

Ridgewood NJ, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Matthew T. Albence held a White House press briefing Thursday to explain how sanctuary policies threaten public safety and called on the public to hold their local lawmakers accountable. The briefing made clear that local jurisdictions across the U.S. that refuse to cooperate with ICE are complicit in the crimes committed by aliens who ICE could have otherwise been arrested and removed.

New Jersey Becomes Sanctuary State

Ridgewood NJ, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal today announced amendments to the New Jersey Immigrant Trust Directive that will end wholesale New Jersey’s participation in 287(g) agreements, which invite discrimination by deputizing local law enforcement to become federal immigration agents. The changes to the directive also add two carve-outs to the concerning list of exceptions in which law enforcement can ask about immigration status.

New Jersey is one of the first states to sever ties with the 287(g) program.

ICE arrests 54 in NJ during enforcement action targeting at-large criminal aliens

Ridgewood NJ, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 54 individuals throughout New Jersey during a weeklong action targeting public safety threats who were released from local law enforcement custody into the community instead of being transferred to ICE.

They hail from 12 countries – Mexico (21), Jamaica (1), Ecuador (2), Honduras (4), Dominican Republic (3), El Salvador (9), Guatemala (3), Guyana (1), Brazil (7), Costa Rica (1), Georgia (1) and Pakistan (1).

Trenton NJ, Today the Senate Community and Urban Affairs Committee will continue to take testimony from invited guests concerning the administration of the “Water Quality Accountability Act.” The 2017 law imposes certain testing, reporting, management, and infrastructure investment requirements on water purveyors. The law sets a limit of three violations before mitigation must be done. It also states that every water purveyor must implement an asset management plan designed to inspect, maintain, repair, and renew its infrastructure, as well as a cyber security plan. It will bring thousands of jobs to the area , tourists from all over the world and promises of traffic nightmares for the next 10 generations.

First conceived in 2003 and most likely the single dumbest idea ever conceived by the state of New Jersey .Just what Bergen County needs another Mall. Originally the Sports Authority folly was known as Xanadu. Billed by Governor Christie as the “ugliest building in the world” it’s gone from one disaster to the next and one owner to the next over the past decade.

Glen Rock NJ, today Glen Rock Mayor Bruce Packer announced that the public safety communications enhancements at the Glen Rock High School/Middle School have been completed and fully tested. The system is 100% operational and has met or exceeded all expectations.

New Jersey’s Lawsuit Climate Ranked Among Nation’s Worst

Ridgewood NJ, New Jersey’s lawsuit climate ranks 43rd out of 50 in a new national survey released today by the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform (ILR). This ranking is the lowest ever for the Garden State since the survey’s inception in 2002.

The 2019 Lawsuit Climate Survey: Ranking the States, conducted by renowned polling firm The Harris Poll on behalf of the U.S. Chamber Institute for Legal Reform, questioned senior business executives about the fairness and reasonableness of state court systems.
