Ridgewood NJ, A 911 call from a frightened teenage female, who alleged that she’d been inappropriately touched by an adult male stranger, generated a immediate response from three (3) uniformed Ridgewood PD Patrol Officers and two (2) uniformed Patrol Supervisors. The incident was alleged to have taken place on a sidewalk near 103 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood on Wednesday evening, 05/31. Ridgewood Police canvassed sidewalks and restaurants near the scene in an attempt to locate the adult male involved in the incident. The victim’s mother responded to the scene to discuss the incident with police officers and to take the youth home. The alleged perpetrator was not immediately located, but a description of his clothing and physical appearance was disseminated to all on duty officers for follow up throughout the evening.
Stopped the paper after decades. Grew up reading great NYC dailies. It has deteriorated to trash. This seems to have a reporter,& councilman with similar vested agendas. That paper has trashed Christie, the Boy Scouts & the Roman Catholic Church regularly. Add Ridgewood to the caustic, repetitive onslaught that never has an ending. Very, very disappointed in this new politician.
Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report the Ptl. Douglas Christopher responded to Melrose Place on May 26, on a report of a fraud in the past. Upon arrival the victim reported a person contacted her reporting to be a Microsoft Tech attempting to fix a virus on her computer. The victim was convinced to allow the caller to fix the computer at www.helpme.net and update the computer remotely. The victim reported her computer was remotely accessed and has now been hacked in a fraudulent manner. The victim requested documentation of the incident.

So I guess it is no surprise that the Democrat party of today represents anti American sentiments of ISIS , supports terrorism, pro illegal immigrant, is anti free speech, pro state-ism, and anti freedom . While the Democrats along with their union allies are deeply entrenched in New Jersey it may behoove many readers to remember that New Jersey voted for George B. McClellan for president and not Abraham Lincoln . Yes in the election of 1864 McClellan won only 3 states , and yes one state was New Jersey.
It is highly likely that a number of states will attempt to jump on the bandwagon over the next couple of years and legalize marijuana for recreational purposes. New Jersey, which is currently governed by anti-drug warrior Chris Christie, is undoubtedly expected to be the main focal point of the legalization debate heading into 2018.
In fact, State Senator Nicholas Scutari, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, recently introduced a piece of legislation aimed at establishing a statewide cannabis trade. What kids wear to school becomes more of an issue as the weather warms and we move closer to school’s end.
Students may opt for casual, but some districts discourage dress that is too casual — as in beach wear or revealing summer attire not deemed appropriate for class.
Janet Bamford of the New Jersey School Boards Association says there is no state-mandated school dress code, so it varies from district to district.
New Jersey law does allow for individual school dress codes on the local level.
“One kind of landmark addition was in 1996 when school dress codes were allowed to address what comes to ‘gang apparel,’ and also to permit school uniforms,” she said.
Bamford says there is a lot of variation from district to district in New Jersey, from no dress code at all to a few districts that mandate uniforms.

Ridgewood NJ, from the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security ,the bombing at an arena in Manchester, England, after an Ariana Grande concert on May 22 illustrates the need for security measures and vigilance by the public at the conclusion of a major event. Often at a concert or a sporting event, security measures such as checkpoints and bag checks are in place at the beginning, when ticketholders are entering the venue. After the event, however, there are fewer security measures, and since the event is over, security personnel and the general public may have a tendency to let down their guard. At the arena in Manchester, the attacker was able to inflict multiple casualties by detonating his explosives as spectators were exiting the arena, taking advantage of the fact that there are typically larger concentrations of people in confined spaces as spectators are leaving an event than when they are arriving (photo shows a crowd exiting on a stairway in Manchester).
The attacker was also able to avoid detection by security personnel by detonating his explosives outside the arena, rather than attempting to smuggle them in through a checkpoint. The explosion occurred on a walkway connecting the arena to the Victoria train station. Extending the security perimeter, by measures such as placing bollards to impede vehicles and adding surveillance cameras looking outward from the venue, could potentially reduce the threat. However, as at airports, no matter how far outward security measures are pushed, eventually there comes a point where security stops—and that seam becomes a vulnerability. Accordingly, an attack such as the one in Manchester could potentially occur in the United States, including New Jersey.
Emerson NJ, Emerson PD units, along with multiple paramedic teams and ambulances, rushed to an address on Colonial Road in Emerson on Sunday afternoon, 05/28, in response to reports of a child that had been found unresponsive in a back yard swimming pool. A victim was reportedly transported by a Emerson EMS ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. No further information about the victim, nor his/her condition, was readily available.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Emergency Services was well prepared for the May 29th Annual Ridgewood Run. Along with Ridgewood Emergency Services and our mutual aid resources, there were over 100 responders on hand watching over the participants and spectators. Although a dreary weather day, perfect for the runners, fortunately it was a quiet day for the Emergency Responders. Thank you for everyone’s support and coming out on Memorial Day. So Voigt turned out to be a crackpot. We still got two very competent Council members and vanquished the previous Council majority. Big win for common sense. The Record and Ridgewood News are becoming more and more irrelevant every day. As are Mr. Halaby and the other special interests hanging on to the failed legacy of the prior regime. Please let’s just put a bullet in the head of Valley’s Master Plan amendment and let’s overturn the ridiculous high density housing debacle. Voigt is everything that we all hate about NJ politics. Shame on him for the campaign that he ran to get where he is.
Funny how Voigt refers to “the mayor’s supporters.” All these people supported Voigt and the Mayor did, too. She had his sign in her front yard and campaigned for him. Looks like a boatload of people got fooled by him. What a crummy person he turned out to be. So nasty, paranoid, and not doing a single thing he campaigned to do. He was dead set against the garage, now he pushes for it. he was dead set against the nastiness of Arnonsohn and company, now he personifies it. he was dead set against underhanded dealings, now he is in bed with the press. he was an advocate for the people, now he is vilifying the citizens.
