Bergen County Prosecutor Investigates Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Hasbrouck Heights

Hasbrouck Heights NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the ongoing investigation of a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in Hasbrouck Heights on February 17, 2020. The investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, and the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department under the direction of Chief Michael J. Colaneri.

Lodi Murder Suspects Implicated Nassau County Murder

Lodi NJ, Detectives from the New Jersey State Police Major Crime North Unit (MCNU) and Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office have linked Kenneth Regan, 21, of Centereach, N.Y. and Douglas Coudrey, 22, of Eastport, N.Y. to a homicide that occurred in Nassau County, N.Y. last month. Justin Gottlieb, 27, of Plainview, N.Y., was shot and killed on January 14, 2020.

911 Call Results in Bergen SWAT Team response to Single Family Home in Teaneck

Teaneck NJ, A Sunday afternoon, 02/16, 911 telephone caller who advised Teaneck Police that someone was in his home trying to shoot him, resulted in a full Bergen County SWAT Team response to a single family home located in the 200 block of Churchill Road, Teaneck. Nearby homes were evacuated and portions of several local street were closed as SWAT Team members operated. SWAT Team operations were still in progress as of early Sunday evening. Two (2) Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps units were placed on standby at the scene.

Dumont NJ, Dumont native Glenn Sobieski hasn’t been seen nor heard from since January 31st .The Dumont High School graduate has worked in the hospitality industry , and was working at the Hotel Indigo on Manhattan’s Lower East Side . Glenn served five years as a Bergen County public safety dispatcher in Mahwah.

Glen n comes from a family very invilved in public service in Bergen County , including two of his uncles, Midland Park Police Chief Michael Powderley and retired Demarest Police Chief James Powderley. His mother, Diane Marello, is with the Demarest Volunteer Ambulance Corps; her husband is former Demarest Fire Chief Eric Marello.

Father and Son Team Sentenced to Prison for Defrauding Investors of Millions of Dollars

Park Ridge NJ, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal announced that a father and son were sentenced to prison today for defrauding investors in two successive multi-million dollar scams involving sales of bogus investments. After defrauding 26 investors in the first scam, the father and son agreed to pay $5.5 million, including $4 million in investor restitution, to settle a lawsuit filed by the New Jersey Bureau of Securities. They then proceeded to defraud 15 of the same investors of $3 million in a second scam.
