Englewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that on September 15, 2023, RANDY MANNING formerly of Englewood, NJ was sentenced to a term of life imprisonment in New Jersey State Prison after being convicted of murder, arson, desecration of human remains, and weapons offenses in connection with the death of Rhian Stoute in August 2011.
Englewood NJ, after the city council of Englewood passed plan to provide affordable housing through overlay zones Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes vetoed the ordinance writing that the plan was inconsistent with the master plan , failed to properly respect residential zoning , failed to incorporate redevelopment study areas and the plan, “fails to preserve our goal of maintaining neighborhood character, fails to target development to blighted areas of the city, and was conducted in a fashion that has alienated our citizenry.”
Englewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ESMOND NIMBLETT (DOB: 07/31/1974; single; carpenter) of Clifton, NJ on charges of sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley.
Englewood NJ, Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced that ROBERT HADDEN was sentenced today to 20 years in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman for enticing and inducing four victims to travel interstate to engage in unlawful sexual activity. HADDEN, who practiced medicine between in or about 1987 to 2012, was convicted at trial on January 24, 2023, for inducing four victims to travel interstate to his medical offices in Manhattan so that he could sexually abuse them. The Government proved at trial that the defendant sexually abused dozens of patients over the course of more than two decades under the guise of purported medical examinations.

These thefts usually consist of individuals distracting people who have just made a bank withdrawal and then attempt to get them out of their vehicle. Once out of the vehicle a second person will take the money and valuable out of the car.
Englewood NJ, at approximately 7:30 am Friday June 23rd the Englewood Police Department responded to a call for service involving a male threatening to kill himself . Upon arrival Englewood Police Department personal observed an agitated man who was throwing items off the 3rd floor roof . The man had had previous interactions with the Englewood Police Department and was known as an emotional disturbed individual. officers observed he was armed with a knife . The Englewood Police began speaking to the man in an attempt to peaceable disarm him. The man threatened to kill himself , asking the police to shot him and began tossing items off the roof at the police officers. An Englewood Police negotiator arrived and managed to calm the man down and talk him off the roof . Once inside the 33 year old man was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for treatment. At this time no criminal changed are anticipated.

Englewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the conviction of RANDY MANNING of Englewood, NJ for the murder of Rhian Stoute in Englewood, NJ on August 15, 2011. On June 7, 2023, following a six-week jury trial before the Honorable Gary N. Wilcox, J.S.C., in Bergen County Superior Court, MANNING was convicted of nine charges in relation to the murder of Stoute: first-degree murder, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a firearm, desecration of human remains, unlawful moving of human remains, arson, hindering apprehension by destroying or concealing evidence, hindering apprehension by giving false information to law enforcement, and unlawful taking of a means of conveyance.
Englewood NJ, Eva Zazzali, a sophomore at the Academy of the Holy Angels, just won the inaugural bergenPAC Executive Producer’s Award. Zazzali was recognized for her portrayal of Viola in AHA’s spring 2023 production of “Twelfth Night the Musical.” Awards were presented May 22 at the Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood.
Englewood NJ, on Sunday night May 7th , the Englewood Police Departments received a report of two persons shot by a pellet gun while crossing East Palisade Avenue . In an event eerily similar to a pellet gun attack in Ridgewood ,the Englewood Police department commenced with a thorough investigation and by 11 am the next morning the Englewood Police had taken a suspect into custody . The suspect was charged with two counts aggravated assault, as well as possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose.
Englewood NJ, on Saturday May 6th Englewood Fire companies were dispatched to the 400 Block of North Woodland Street for a report of a person trapped under a vehicle. Firefighters found a car lift in a private home collapsing and an occupant trying to keep it from falling further. Members placed two Paratech struts to stabilize the load and make it safe. The building department was notified and a full platoon recall was requested while companies operated.
