Fair Lawn NJ, three (3) small children, including a five (5) month old, and two (2) adults all escaped injury in an early Monday afternoon, 04/15, crash on Route 208 in Fair Lawn.
Fair Lawn NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 33-year-old AHMET YUSUF AYDEMIR of Garfield, NJ on charges of sexual assault and criminal sexual contact. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck and the Fair Lawn Police Department under the direction of Chief Glen Cauwels.
Fair Lawn NJ, it took several hours for towing company operators from two (2) separate companies to right a fully loaded concrete mixer that rolled over while entering Route 208 southbound at Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn on Thursday morning, 04/04. The truck’s driver sustained an arm injury in the mishap, and was transported to a local hospital by an ambulance. Fair Lawn Police , Fair Lawn Fire Department, Fair Lawn Heavy Rescue, and NJDOT personnel were all at the scene of the incident. Route 208 southbound was intermittently closed while emergency responders worked.
Fair Lawn NJ, the Fair Lawn Police Department 2/27/24 – 7:46 pm – Aggravated Assault: P.O. Bradley Pindyck, P.O. John Rovetto, P.O. Brandon Loaiza, P.O. Salvatore Marotta, and Detective Justin DiGuglielmo responded to Door Dash, 15-01 Pollitt Drive Suite 3 and arrested Jermaine A. White, age 36 of Bronx, NY, after he threatened an employee and lunged at him with a knife. He was transported to the Bergen County Jail after being charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and unlawful possession of a weapon. The victim sustained no injuries.
Fair Lawn NJ, while searching for a white colored Dodge Neon reported to be driving erratically on Saddle River Road late Saturday afternoon, 03/16, a Fair Lawn police officer spotted the vehicle driving down a private residential driveway at a high rate of speed, and directly into a heavily wooded area. The vehicle quickly became impaled on a large mulch pile and caught fire.
Fair Lawn NJ, on February 24, 2024, a three-alarm fire severely damaged a residence in Fair Lawn this afternoon. The Fair Lawn Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on the six block of 5th Street at 2:24 PM.
Fair Lawn NJ, a Fair Lawn police officer, who was actively searching for two (2) fleeing shoplifting suspects, sustained a minor injury during a Monday morning, 01/29, two (2) vehicle crash at the intersection of Maple Avenue and River Road, Fair Lawn. The officer was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle involved was uninjured. Both shoplifting suspects were swiftly captured by other responding officers near the crash scene, which is right in front of the CVS store that was targeted by the alleged shoplifters. A flatbed tow truck removed the damaged unmarked police car from the scene. The other vehicle involved in the crash left the scene on its own power.
Fair Lawn NJ, two (2) individuals were struck by at least one (1) vehicle near the intersection of Cedar Street and Maple Avenue, Fair Lawn shortly after 7:30 PM on Sunday, 01/28. Both individuals were transported by separate ambulances to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. One (1) victim was gravely injured, the other was alert and conscious as he/she was being loaded into an ambulance. Paramedics from The Valley Hospital assisted Fair Lawn EMS personnel at the scene. Maple Avenue was closed in both directions near the crash site for an indefinite period to facilitate an accident investigation.

Fair Lawn NJ, no injuries were reported in connection with a late Sunday afternoon, 01/14, motor vehicle crash in which a Lexus SUV mounted a curb and knocked over a protective bollard in front of a Kosher grocery store on Fair Lawn Avenue in Fair Lawn. The crash left the Lexus impaled on top of the bollard; two (2) tow trucks were required to remove it from its predicament. Fair Lawn Police department responded to the incident.
Fair Lawn NJ, a tractor trailer truck damaged a traffic signal and wiped out a fire hydrant while making a right turn onto Saddle River Road from Morlot Avenue, Fair Lawn late Thursday afternoon, 01/04. No injuries were reported in the mishap.
Fairlawn NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that on December 18, 2023, DOMINICK MEMOLI of Bronx, New York pled guilty to armed robbery in connection with an armed home invasion that occurred on November 17, 2022 in Fair Lawn, NJ.
Fair Lawn NJ, a flatbed truck carrying lumber to a job site, slammed into a guard rail on Plaza Road, Fair Lawn, dumping its entire load in the process. The mid Monday afternoon, 12/18, crash injured the truck’s driver, who was transported by a Fair Lawn EMS ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A team of lumber company employees cleared the mess with the help of a large fork lift. The truck itself was removed from the scene by a heavy duty wrecker. Fair Lawn Police investigated the mishap.
Fair lawn NJ, a minor accident occurred at the intersection of Forest Street and Maple Avenue in Fair Lawn, NJ. The incident involved three vehicles, resulting in one personal injury and the need for towing. The driver of a white 4-door sedan sustained a minor arm injury and received immediate medical attention from Fair Lawn EMS personnel. Fair Lawn Police officers are currently investigating the crash. Fair Lawn NJ, two (2) unoccupied, parked vehicles were heavily damaged by a large tree that fell in the 38-00 block of Brookside Avenue, Fair Lawn early Tuesday afternoon, 11/28. Electrical and communications services to a nearby home was disrupted when the tree fell. Fair Lawn Police Department and PSE&G’s Electrical Division responded immediately to the incident.
