Glen Rock NJ, the Fair Lawn Fire Department and Glen Rock Fire Department are pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for our Sixth Annual Citizens Fire Academy. The six-week evening class will start on Tuesday October 1st and will give participants a chance to see what being a firefighter is all about. The class is open to all Fair Lawn and Glen Rock residents ages 18 and older. Participants are expected to attend all the sessions.

Glen Rock NJ, a serious three-vehicle collision occurred on Thursday morning, August 15, at the intersection of Ackerman Avenue and Rock Road in Glen Rock, resulting in injuries to all three drivers involved. The crash, which took place during the morning commute, left two of the drivers with serious injuries. They were quickly transported by separate ambulances to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus for treatment.

Glen Rock NJ, on Tuesday evening, July 30, shortly after 7:00 pm, all on-duty Glen Rock Police uniformed patrol units responded to a report of a fist fight at the basketball courts in Wilde Park, which had drawn a gathering crowd. By the time patrol units arrived, the altercation had ended, and at least one of the participants had already left the area.
