Hackensack NJ, Tuesday at 14:06hrs members of the City of Hackensack Fire Department First Platoon Engine 1, Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Deputy 1 responded to Route 80 Eastbound near mile marker 64.8 for a reported motor vehicle accident. Arriving units found a truck and passenger vehicle crashed with the truck resting on the divider. One passenger was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center . Units remained on scene while the truck was lifted off the divider and removed as well as the passenger vehicle. New Jersey State Police were also on scene .
Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JAHEIM ROBINSON (DOB: 9/10/2004; single, student) of 277 James Street, Hackensack, NJ on charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, possession of a firearm for unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun, and stalking. The arrest is a result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer-In-Charge Captain Michael Antista.

Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ALEXANDER J. DE LA CRUZ (DOB: 6/01/2003; single; unemployed) of, Hackensack, NJ on a charge of possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.
Hackensack NJ, the Hackensack Police Department announces the arrest of Yves Davilmar Jr. for several criminal charges in reference to an assault on a Police Officer.
On February 16th, 2023, Officer Panagiotis Seretis was responding to assist another officer with his emergency lights and sirens activated in the area of Main Street and Salem Street. Officer Seretis signaled for a black Ford Explorer to pull to the side of the road, to which the vehicle did not immediately obey. After further signaling, the vehicle moved over and allowed Officer Seretis to pass, but proceeded to follow the officer. The vehicle then suddenly accelerated and rammed into the rear of Officer Seretis’s police vehicle. Officer Seretis vehicle came to a rest after being rammed, at which point the vehicle once again rammed the police vehicle. The vehicle then intentionally backed up and proceeded to ram the vehicle multiple times.

Hackensack NJ, on February 3rd at 10:15am members of the City of Hackensack Fire Department Second Platoon’s Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Deputy 2 responded to 405 Route 17S on a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival units found 4 vehicles involved in an MVA with one reported injury. Firefighters provided first aid and checked for injuries on vehicle operator until the arrival of HUMC BLS who took over patient care and obtained an RMA. Firefighters applied absorbent to a minor fluid leak and remained on scene until on duty city tow removed vehicles.

Hackensack NJ, on Friday January 27th at approximately 1:05pm City of Hackensack Fire Engine 1 responded to the intersection of Hudson Street and Vreeland Ave on multi-car motor vehicle accident involving a bicyclist. Engine 1 assessed bicyclist for injury until the arrival of BLS who took over patient care. Members assisted with packaging of patient for transport to HUMC. Engine 1 applied absorbent to minor fluid spill and remained on scene while on call city tow removed 3 vehicles. Hackensack Police Department is investigating.
Hackensack NJ, the city has reached a settlement with the company that controls the Sears property on Main Street, paving the way for a potential redevelopment project there to move forward.
Hackensack NJ, on January 2, 2023, Officers Panagiotis Seretis, Paula Luppino, Dane Marble, and Sgt. Sean Briggs responded to the area of Hudson Street and Broadway on a report of a man with a knife.
The initial investigation revealed that a 61 year old male and a 32 year old female, both from Hackensack, were involved in a dispute with Frye in the middle of the street. During the dispute, Frye brandished a box cutter style knife and assaulted the male and female. The male suffered a laceration to his one of his extremities, while the female suffered a puncture wound to her torso area. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Hackensack NJ, On December 31st, 2022 at approximately 0500 hours, officers Michael Scangarella, Aaron Rios Ben Farhi, and Michael Koenig responded to a commercial business on Myer Street on a report of a burglary in progress. Officers located Adebayo Adedoyin on the premise, and he could not provide a reason why he was on the property of the commercial business. Subsequent investigation revealed that Adedoyin was in possession of property that belonged to the business as well as property that was originally within approximately 5 vehicles belonging to the business.
He also had burglars tools on his person. Adedoyin’s vehicle was located in proximity to the crime and a search revealed additional proceeds from the crime as well as other possible crimes in the area. Adedoyin was placed under arrest without incident. The Hackensack Detective Bureau responded and will be conducting a follow up investigation in regards to the additional items that were located.
