First arriving Montvale Police units confirmed a working fire. Chief M10 requested an elevated alarm assignment. These “agents” are informing residents that one of their online orders is stuck at customs and they need information such as credit card numbers/date of birth/social security number/etc in order to release the package. Please hang up on any such calls. They are not real. Customs would send you an official letter in the mail listing the items and the reason it is being held up.

Montvale NJ, early on Thanksgiving morning, a 17-year-old student from St. Joseph Regional High School lost his life in a fatal stabbing incident at the location of a Tribeca ax-throwing establishment, as reported by police and sources on Friday. Additionally, a 19-year-old man sustained stab wounds to the torso but was reported to be in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital.

Montvale NJ, a hit-and-run incident claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl on the Garden State Parkway in Montvale early Thursday, according to the New Jersey State Police. The tragedy occurred around 5:02 a.m., on Thursday as the girl entered the path of an unidentified vehicle traveling south at milepost 171.1. The unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian, and a Chevrolet Tahoe, closely following, collided with the victim. The unidentified vehicle fled the scene, continuing south without stopping, while the Tahoe driver, realizing the collision, reported the incident to Troop “D” Bloomfield station. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed, and the investigation into the hit-and-run is ongoing.

Montvale NJ, a two (2) vehicle, early Monday afternoon, 02/20, crash in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue, Montvale, sent the female driver of an SUV to the hospital via a Tri-Boro ambulance, and a pickup truck through the fences of two (2) adjacent single family homes. The SUV was also propelled off of the roadway and wound up in a nearby driveway. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. The Montvale Police Department is investigating the crash.

Construction crews recently broke ground on a $1.8 million project in Montvale to fully replace the Magnolia Avenue Bridge with work expected to be complete by the end of the year.
