Multiple Agencies Respond to Single Family Home Fire In Montvale

Montvale NJ, on February 3, 2024 at approximately 2:10pm, the Montvale Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to a single family home on E. Grand Ave for a reported basement fire. First arriving Montvale Police units confirmed a working fire. Chief M10 requested an elevated alarm assignment. Tri-Boro Volunteer Ambulance Corps and multiple police departments for their assistance.

Old Tappan Road Bridge is Now Open to Traffic

Old Tappan NJ, the bridge at Rivervale Road and Old Tappan Road is back open after complete reconstruction! Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco said in a Facebook post , “After almost a year of renovations, the Old Tappan Road Bridge is now open to traffic! Renovations included the complete demolition and replacement of the bridge, approach roadway improvements, and intersection adjustments to meet current AASHTO/NJDOT standards. ”

Detectives Recover 30 Work Vans and Pickup Trucks as a result of “Operation Cat Burglar” Multi-County Auto-Theft Investigation

East Orange NJ, the New Jersey State Police and Division of Criminal Justice have charged six suspects who were allegedly stealing work vans and pickup trucks in northern New Jersey and dismantling them to sell their catalytic converters and other parts for profit. During the month-long investigation dubbed “Operation Cat Burglar,” detectives linked the suspects to more than 30 stolen vehicles, stolen license plates, vehicle titles, and more than $20,000 worth of stolen tools and equipment.

ARREST MADE INVOLVING RIVER VALE “SPRAY SANITIZER” CASE

River Vale NJ, Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal and Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced today two enforcement matters relating to the alleged sale of a dangerous “spray sanitizer” at a 7-Eleven in River Vale.  Prosecutor Musella announced that MANISHA BHARADE (DOB: 06/11/1972; married; owner of 7-Eleven) of Wood-Ridge, NJ was charged with Endangering The Welfare Of A Child and Deceptive Business Practices.  At the same time, Attorney General Grewal announced that the Division of Consumer Affairs (DCA) opened an investigation into the store’s practices regarding the sale and promotion of health and sanitation products offered by the store since the emergence of the coronavirus outbreak.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the River Vale Police Department under the direction of Chief Sean Scheidle.

River Vale Police Department Issues Stolen Vehicles Advisory

River Vale NJ, Several towns in the Pascack Valley area are again experiencing an increased number of stolen cars. In the vast majority of incidents, the owners left keys and/or key fobs in the vehicle – making the car an easy target for thieves.

Residents are encouraged to always remove key fobs and keys from their vehicles – even when the cars are parked inside a garage. In addition, residents should be sure to remove valuables from their vehicles and remember to lock car doors and activate the alarms where applicable.

As always, residents are asked to remain alert and contact your local police promptly regarding suspicious persons or incidents.
