Paramus NJ, according to Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco , “as we look to the future of what education should be, it is critical to anticipate the needs not just in education, but in the workforce. Part of that is understanding that there are thousands of high paying jobs out there that are technical in nature but don’t require a college degree. Well, yesterday, the County’s Technical School District celebrated the groundbreaking of a milestone project to construct a new Career and Technical Education school in Paramus that supports that goal and will help ensure that Bergen County continues to remain competitive in the 21st century global economy. The new CTE school will support alternative paths and build a more inclusive education system, with something for every single student, all while helping ensure Bergen County remains competitive in the 21st century global economy.”

(You’re) Damned if You Do And Damned if You Don’t ….Making Right Turn in Paramus

IMG 5311

by Frank Geraghty

Paramus NJ, The DOT has a big problem on Front Road & Midland Avenue in Paramus that is why a rare warning sign has been placed on From Road at Midland Avenue before traffic signals, “Right Turn Must Yield To Pedestrians”. I see big problems there too but I have a different solution. Motorists making a right on red especially during rush hour are forced to move fast to avoid getting hit by fast moving horn blowing vehicles coming from under the Garden State Parkway overpass. See enclosed photos taken on a quiet Sunday of a white car forced to abruptly stop on crosswalk as a speeding black car passes. Scared drivers who would prefer not to make a right on red are forced to make a right turn by horn blowing motorists from behind.

DANGEROUS ILLEGAL U-TURNS MUST STOP AT STEVEN COURT IN PARAMUS

FRANK GERAGHTY

Paramus NJ, impatient drivers coming out of Stevens Court, Paramus every day who want to go east bound on Ridgewood Avenue take a chance & dash across in front of west bound traffic on Ridgewood Avenue and then slot into east bound traffic (see photo). This works most of the time but not always. I saw a car quickly cross & enter east bound traffic during rush hours from Stevens Court get hit on right side by van changing lanes to let a car out on his right ahead of him coming from Paramus Firehouse Lane, he must have thought the car from Stevens Court dropped from the sky.
