Paramus NJ, Paramus Police. Paramus EMS, and Paramus Fire Department responded to a Sunday night, 11/20, single vehicle rollover crash near 15 East Midland Avenue, Paramus. The Range Rover’s driver was uninjured in the mishap and refused medical attention. A flatbed tow truck righted the high end SUV and removed it from the scene.

NJ Transit Bus Takes Out Utility Pole on East Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus

Paramus NJ, no injuries were reported following the Friday afternoon, 11/18, crash of a NJ Transit bus into a utility pole on East Ridgewood Avenue in Paramus, adjacent to the New Jersey Veterans Home and New Bridge Medical Center campuses. The driver was the only occupant on the bus at the time of the crash. No disruptions to utility services were reported in connection with the mishap. Paramus Police and Paramus Fire Department units responded to the incident.

Republican Chris DiPiazza Looks to Become the New Mayor of Paramus

Paramus NJ, looks like Republican Chris DiPiazza will become the next Paramus mayor, flipping a seat long held by Democrats. So far the unofficial results provided by Bergen County had DiPiazza leading with 5,486 votes to 4,008 for Democrat MariaElena Bellinger. Both candidates are sitting Borough Council members vying to succeed Mayor Richard LaBarbiera, a Democrat who has held the position for 14 years but chose not to seek reelection.

The report strongly suggests that under Governor Murphy’s watch the conditions have not significantly improved since 2020 when our New Jersey veterans under his care died in the highest numbers of any population in the world from COVID.

Multi-vehicle rollover crash snarled morning rush hour traffic at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Grove Street in Paramus

Paramus NJ, a multi-vehicle rollover crash with entrapment snarled morning rush hour traffic at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Grove Street, Paramus on Tuesday, 11/08. One (1) driver was extricated from his vehicle by Ridgewood firefighters and transported, with non-life threatening injuries, to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus by a Paramus EMS ambulance. All other reported injuries were minor in nature and those victims refused medical aid. At least two (2) vehicles were removed from the scene by tow trucks. A Glen Rock Police unmarked SUV sustained minor damage in the mishap.

Bergen Community College Cuts Ribbon On Small Business Support Office

Paramus NJ, In just six months, Bergen Community College students have assisted nearly 500 local entrepreneurs in bouncing back post-COVID as “small business support specialists” through a collaboration with the Bergen County Business Resource Network. This nationally heralded program has received recognition from numerous media outlets, government officials and business organizations. In recognition of the program’s growth, and to provide additional support for the students, Bergen County Executive James J. Tedesco III and Bergen County Commissioners Mary Amoroso, Germaine Ortiz and Thomas Sullivan joined Bergen President Eric M. Friedman, Ph.D., Oct. 20 as the College opened an office for the small business support specialists. The event coincided with Women’s Entrepreneurship Week, which helped influence the day’s activities as well. After the office doors officially opened, two local female restaurateurs who worked with the small business support specialist students presented refreshments showcasing their culinary talents, while Commissioner Amoroso led a panel discussion on women in entrepreneurship featuring local business owners.

Canopy Struck and Dislodged by Delivery truck at Popeye’s Restaurant on Route 17 in Paramus

Paramus N J, members of the Paramus Fire Department and Paramus Rescue Squad worked jointly to temporarily secure a building overhang/canopy that was struck and dislodged by a large delivery truck in the rear of Popeye’s Restaurant on Route 17 northbound near Sunflower Avenue, Paramus on Tuesday morning, 10/18. No injuries were reported in the mishap. Both the building and delivery truck sustained minimal damage. Paramus Police and Paramus OEM personnel were also on the scene. A building inspector was requested to respond in order to evaluate the building’s structural integrity.

Paramus NJ, no injuries were reported following a Tuesday morning, 10/18, multiple vehicle crash on Route 17 northbound near Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus, in which one (1) vehicle rolled over on its side, and another careened off of the highway into a stationary roll-off container and adjacent building. Two (2) vehicles were towed from the scene. Damage to the building appeared to have been cosmetic in nature only. Paramus Police and Paramus Fire Department responded to the incident.
