Ramsey NJ, on October 25th , in an inspiring show of quick thinking and teamwork, a group of students from Ramsey High School took action to stop a fire from spreading near their school. Early this morning, the students noticed a fire affecting a fence and the surrounding area in the backyard of a nearby home. With no time to waste, they formed a classic bucket brigade, working together to douse the flames before they could spread.

Ramsey and Saddle River Strike $4.5 Million Deal for Middle School Education Partnership

Ramsey NJ, a new $4.5 million, five-year agreement has been reached between the Ramsey School District and Saddle River for middle school education. Under the renewed partnership, the Ramsey School District will continue to welcome 54 Saddle River students in grades six through eight at Eric S. Smith Middle School, according to Ramsey Schools Superintendent Andrew Matteo. This deal replaces a prior 10-year contract between the districts that expired on June 30.

Ramsey Firefighters Battle Intense Three-Alarm Fire on Saturday Night

Ramsey NJ, on Saturday night, October 12, around 9:30 pm, Ramsey’s dedicated volunteer firefighters responded to a serious structure fire at 4 Carriage Lane. Upon arrival, the crews were met with intense flames engulfing the first and second floors, as well as the attic. The fire’s severity prompted a second alarm, soon escalating to a three-alarm call, bringing in multiple neighboring fire departments to assist.

Slippery Road Conditions Leaves Ramsey emergency services working side by side!

Ramsey NJ, on January 15th , Ramsey Rescue, Ramsey Fire and Ramsey EMS were dispatched to a Motor Vehicle Rollover with possible entrapment. A vehicle left the roadway and rolled over entrapping the driver. Rescue’s crews quickly freed the driver and transferred care to EMS personnel who transported the patient to the hospital.

The fires were rapidly extinguished and brought under control by joint teams from Ramsey Fire & Rescue. The cause of the fires are under investigation by Ramsey Police and the Ramsey Fire Official.
