Ridgewood NJ, it is being reported from various sources that two (2) individuals, an adult man and woman, were reportedly arrested for trespassing at Ridge School this morning. Both were taken away in handcuffs to Ridgewood police headquarters for processing. Several marked and unmarked Ridgewood police vehicles were observed stationed in the driveway of Ridge shortly after 9:00 am. It is not known whether the individuals were trespassing inside or outside of the building when they were apprehended.

Tenafly NJ, Ransomware attacks continue to plague the education sector across the United States, including in New Jersey. Tenafly Public Schools were hit with a ransomware attack that crippled the district’s computer system. Final exams have been canceled for all of the district’s high school students as the Bergen County school district tries to get its system back online with the help of cybersecurity consultants.

Eisenhower Leadership Award on behalf of the West Point Society of New Jersey, an organization of graduates and friends of West Point who live in New Jersey. This award is presented annually at approximately 100 high schools throughout New Jersey, recognizing students who excel in academics, athletics, community service, good citizenship, and leadership. This year’s Ridgewood High School award recipient is Emily Schmitt.

Ever since Dorothy Zimmerman graduated from RHS in 1923 as the first ever senior band member, the band has held an important place at the high school and has brought pride and recognition to the Village of Ridgewood. To properly celebrate this momentous occasion, the RHS Band Program is beginning to plan several events that will take place from July 2022 through June 2023, and we feel strongly that our alumni should be included.
