Two Man Who Led Burglary Spree Across Northern Jersey Including Ridgewood, Ho-Ho-Kus , Paramus, Hasbrouck Heights , Twp of Washington and Hackensack Arrested

Ridgewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of KALI J. CARTER, 49, of East Orange, NJ, and DEMETRIUS D. HALE, 49, of Bergenfield, NJ, on various charges related to a series of burglaries across northern New Jersey. The arrests are the result of a months-long investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Matthew Finck.

U.S. Congressman Gottheimer Serves Ice Cream at Locally-Owned Maroons Creamery in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, once again U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5) is planning his retirement from politics by visiting Maroons Creamery in Ridgewood, met with the owners, welcomed customers, and serve up some ice cream — as part of his “Josh on the Job” series promoting local businesses in North Jersey. Maroons opened its Ridgewood location in February 2024, building on its other North Jersey location.

The congressman picked up valuable jobs skills for his post political career.

Clinton Avenue in Ridgewood Will be Open for the State of School, Tuesday, September 3rd

Ridgewood NJ, according to Village Manager Keith Kazmark ,the Village has received a written response from the New Jersey Department of Transportation, in consultation with the Attorney General’s Office, regarding the Clinton Avenue street closure on days when school is in session.   Said response is attached.   Highlighted in the letter is the determination which reads, “As such, please note that the Ordinance (allowing Clinton Ave. to be closed to thru traffic) does not have any legal force or effect unless approved by the Commissioner, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-8(a).” In light of this decision, Clinton Avenue will be open starting on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, which is the first day of school.

A new Committee being formed, the Residential Flood Advisory Committee, also is seeking Village resident members.
