Together, they enjoyed a positive and constructive dialogue about the importance of the Korean community and Bergen County. Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco stressed his continued interests in pursuing a business partnership between Bergen County and Korea.

Bergenfield NJ, the 41st Annual Bergen County St. Patrick’s Day Parade was held in Bergenfield on Sunday, March 12, 2023.Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco said in Facebook post ,”Had a wonderful time marching down Washington Avenue yesterday for the annual Bergen County Saint Patrick’s Day Parade! Hackensack NJ, on Tuesday, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco presented his 9th State of the County Address. In his remarks, Tedesco celebrated the completion of major administrative initiatives including the implementation of Bergen County’s own Emergency Medical Services Ambulatory Unit, the opening of the Bergen County Training Annex at the Law and Public Safety Institute, and the completion of five large-scale park upgrades including the renovations of the Darlington Driving Range and grand opening of the Bergen County Rowing Center in Riverside County Park.

Bergen County Office of Emergency Management is Officially on the Road and Answering Calls

Mahwah NJ, Bergen County Office of Emergency Management is official.  According to officials ,4 ambulances purchased ,inspections approved, and EMT’s hired. A soft rollout in progress with a dozen emergency calls answered . Bergen County Emergency Medical Services is now on the road assisting our EMS partners and municipalities answering emergencies throughout Bergen County!  Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and Commissioners cut the ribbon today to make this service go live.

Its a Winter Wonderland in Bergen County’s Van Saun Park

Paramus NJ, after  a winter weather delay Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland  and Christmas Tree lighting in Van Saun Park finally happened .

Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco ,It was truly a “Winter Wonderland ” in Van Saun County Park on Sunday as Bergen County’s Winter Wonderland hosted it’s annual tree lighting ceremony featuring Santa Claus, carols, holiday instrumental jazz from the Bergen County Academies Jazz band, and fresh snowfall! Thank you to all who came out on Sunday to attend this special celebration. Remember, Bergen County Winter Wonderland is open Fridays through Sunday from now until News Years Day!

Rutherford and East Rutherford Get New Greenway at old Norfolk Southern Railway

Project will rehabilitate former rail line into new, 11-acre public park

Rutherford NJ, when I was a kid I would often go dirt bike riding on this rail strip ,now the Open Space Institute (OSI) and officials from Bergen County today announced the acquisition of a former rail corridor linking the communities of Rutherford and East Rutherford.  Permanent protection of the 1.2-mile-long property is the first step in building an 11-acre public park in this densely populated area.

Bergen County Rowing Center Hosts it’s First Completion

Lyndhurst NJ, the brand new Bergen County Rowing Center hosted it’s first completion, the Passaic Regatta, since opening last month. Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco joined the Passaic River Rowing Association for this important milestone . The county executive along with many of us is looking forward to the continued growth of competitive rowing here in Bergen County!

May we all reflect on this solemn day their sacrifice for our nation and until every member of our military returns home, we hold them in our hearts and keep their loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.

“Feed the Frontlines”, to start another phase of operation thanks to the receipt of a new $1 million NJEDA grant

Ridgewood NJ, Feed the Frontlines, a collaborative initiative supported by the Healthbarn Foundation, the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce, and the Bergen County Food Security Task Force, will soon be able to start another phase of operation thanks to the receipt of a new $1 million NJEDA grant to the Healthbarn Foundation! This is an incredible program where local restaurants provide nutritious hot meals to community pantries across Bergen County. This program is truly one of the best examples of county government, non-profit organizations, and small business teaming up to tackle an important issue in our community. To date, over 300,000 meals have been delivered pantries, providing the dignity of a hot meal from a local restaurant to families in need.

Oradell NJ, Bergen County Parks System celebrated the grand opening of the Van Buskirk Island County Park Paddle Center in Oradell. The county parks department and DPW have created something extremely special, a sanctuary and nature preserve that can best be experienced by water. Residents and visitors will now be able to explore the Hackensack River and it’s tributary channels and canals that flow from our dock near the Hackensack Waterworks all the way to the Oradell Avenue Bridge.

Folks this is What a Paved Road Looks Like In Case You Forgot

Fairview NJ, Bergen County Road division paved  Bergenwood Avenue in Fairview which included significant drainage work and a fresh resurfacing.  Its amazing the por shape of the road infrastructure in the county . The Ridgewood blog has posted photos because its become such an unusual situation to see a nicely paved road in Bergen County  , but then again November is just around the corner . Nonetheless great job by the county would love to see more of it.
