Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy said at the March 22nd press conference , “So our dashboard is showing a current total of 3,510,311 doses. We’ve gotten another half-a-million shots into arms in just one week. And importantly, there have been a total of more than 2.3 million first doses administered by either the Pfizer or Moderna two-step vaccines or of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. That means that we are roughly halfway to our goal of — initial goal — of vaccinating 4.7 million individuals. And by the way, more than 1.2 million of those who live, work and study in New Jersey are now fully vaccinated.”

Ramsey NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of LISA M. WIEGERS (DOB: 7/29/1975; single; unemployed) of 101 Carroll Street, Ramsey, New Jersey on a charge of Assault By Auto. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, and the Ramsey Police Department under the direction of Chief Bryan Gurney.

Ramsey NJ, Ramsey Police, Ramsey Fire, Ramsey Rescue, and Ramsey EMS responded to aid multiple victims of a four (4) vehicle crash at the intersection of East Crescent Avenue and Lake Street, Ramsey on Thursday afternoon, 02/27. Upper Saddle River Police assisted with traffic control. All four (4) vehicles were towed from the scene.

Ramsey NJ, the former owner of a Ramsey, New Jersey, car dealership is scheduled to make his initial court appearance and be arraigned today on charges that he defrauded his customers and lenders, U.S. Attorney Craig Carpenito announced.

Afzal Khan, a/k/a “Bobby Khan,” 37, was charged by indictment in 2015 with five counts of wire fraud.

NJDOT: Route 17 Lane Closures Starting Monday in Ramsey

Ramsey  NJ, New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced a shoulder closure on Route 17 with daytime lane closures as a concrete repair project begins in Ramsey, Bergen County. Beginning at 9 a.m., Monday, February 3, NJDOT’s contractor, IEW Construction Group, will close the shoulder on Route 17 in both directions for concrete pier cap repairs to the Spring Street overpass near the Ramsey/Route 17 NJTRANSIT station.

This closure is anticipated to remain in place for approximately one month. The left lane will be closed in both directions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday. Two lanes of traffic will remain open in each direction during these daytime closures. Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down in the work area. The work is part of a larger $19 million state-funded maintenance project to repair and upgrade roadways in various locations in North Jersey. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
