Philadelphia PA, The Schuylkill Navy’s 94th Stotesbury Cup Regatta took place this past weekend as one of the first public events approved by the Philadelphia Department of Public Health as the City reopens. One hundred and thirty-one teams gathered at the Schuylkill River for what is now the largest high school rowing regatta in the world. Ridgewood sent 13 crews to compete against exceptionally fine crews from all parts of the United States.
West Windsor NJ, Ridgewood Crew traveled to Mercer Lake to compete in the US Rowing Mid-Atlantic Youth Championship Regatta this weekend. The crews competing at the Youth Nationals raced against some of the strongest rowing clubs and scholastic rowing programs of the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Ridgewood NJ, A Saturday night fist fight involving 2 male youths on the grounds of RHS reportedly drew more than 100 spectators and required Ridgewood Police to ask for police assistance from multiple towns and the Bergen Sheriff’s Office to disperse the gathered crowd. No arrests were made, nor were any injuries reported in connection with the melee.

Ridgewood NJ, at Mondays Ridgewood board of Education meeting the Ridgewood High School Social Justice Club did a presentation on “Implicit Bias”, Three students from the RHS Social Justice Club, Laurence Fine, Nicole Constant, and Amy Adawalla, gave a presentation on Implicit Bias. A longer version of the program had previously been given at an RHS Home and School Association meeting, an RHS faculty meeting, and various club meetings. The students explained implicit bias and discussed Harvard’s IAT tests which can be taken by individuals to measure implicit bias. They shared why we should study implicit bias, how it can lead to discrimination, and what questions should be considered when having these important discussions.
