Consumer Price Index Falls 1% , Suggesting Further Deceleration in Inflation

Washington DC, (8:33 am) the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) declined 0.1 percent in December on a seasonally adjusted basis, after increasing 0.1 percent in November, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 6.5 percent before seasonal adjustment. The index for gasoline was by far the largest contributor to the monthly all items decrease, more than offsetting increases in shelter indexes.

Former Ridgewood Board of Education Member Gets Arrested for DUI in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ, during the coarse of a motor vehicle stop , on Prospect Street near East Gramercy Place , Glen Rock Police officer T.J. Graziani  arrested a 51 year old Ridgewood man for driving while intoxicated . The man was transported to Glen Rock Police Headquarters where he was processed and released to the custody of a sober adult . His vehicle was impounded in accordance with John’s Law . Additional summons ere issued  for careless driving, disregard of a stop sign and failure to posses a drivers license and  registration .

Hawthorne NJ, a multi-vehicle, Wednesday morning, 01/11, collision in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, Hawthorne necessitated a response by two (2) flatbed tow trucks to remove an SUV and work van involved in the incident. No injuries were reported in the mishap. Hawthorne Police was assisted by Glen Rock Police with traffic control.

Normal air traffic operations are resuming gradually across the United States following an overnight outage to the FAA’s Flight Computer System
