Buses a No Show , Rain is Non-stop, but the Ridgewood High School Marching Band Played On !

Ridgewood NJ, on Sunday October 2nd the Ridgewood High School Marching Band didn’t let a few mishaps get in their way . The Band Buses failed to show , leading to a 20 car parent caravan to Randolph HS (45 min). Then a quick unloading of  the trucks, no time for a warm up and right onto the field , just when it started to really rain!
Despite all that ,Ridgewood placed 3rd place with a 78.2 in a great grouping of bands at the NJMBDA Randolph HS competition.

Morning Rescue of Arborist in Fair Lawn

Fair Lawn NJ, this morning Fair Lawn Police responded to an arborist who had broken his left leg after cutting a limb that came back and crushed it. The victim was stuck about 40 feet in the air on a limb that was unsteady.

Paramus NJ, the adult driver of a KIA Sportage escaped injury during an early Wednesday afternoon, 10/05, crash in which the vehicle jumped two (2) concrete traffic control islands as it careened across busy West Midland Avenue in Paramus. and slammed into a detached garage and fence. A traffic control sign was flattened as well. Paramus Police and Paramus Fire Department responded to the mishap. The damaged vehicle was towed from the scene.

ROSA-VASQUEZ (DOB: 5/15/1991; married; car technician) of 36 East Broad Street, Hazleton, Pennsylvania on a money laundering offense. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

Mahwah NJ, Ramapo College of New Jersey will hold the formal inauguration ceremony for its fifth college president, Dr. Cindy R. Jebb, on Friday, October 14th, 2022. Dr. Jebb joined the state college in 2021, after retiring from the U.S. Army and her post as the first woman Dean of the Academic Board at the United States Military Academy at West Point. The inauguration ceremony begins in the Arena of the Bill Bradley Sports and Recreation Center at 2 p.m., followed immediately by a reception. Doors to the Arena open at 1 p.m.

Ridgewood NJ, most voters believe violent crime is getting worse and expect the issue to be important in next month’s midterm elections.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 62% of Likely U.S. voters believe the problem of violent crime in America is getting worse. Only 11% think the crime problem is getting better, while 24% think the problem is staying about the same. These findings are almost unchanged since April.
