Trenton NJ, N.J. Chamber President and CEO Tom Bracken continues to kiss up to Governor Murphy and the Democratic legislator . In a statement Bracken claimed  that last Wednesday and Thursday, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce held a very successful “ReNew Jersey Business Summit and Expo” in Atlantic City. Some news coverage of the Summit included a comment made by me, in regard to the plight of the business community, that suggested the governor and Legislature “are not doing anything about it of substance.” Braken owned it then proceeded to back peddle and play CYA .

Ridgewood NJ, we have to laugh at this one , James Singer, DCCC Spokesperson called out Tom Kean Jr. for accepting campaign donations from Matt Mowers’ leadership PAC , claiming he voted in two states in 2016 saying, “If Tom Kean Jr. cares about election integrity he should denounce double voting and return the donations he took from Matt Mowers.” . How could that be, according to the Democrats, the “media” and Facebook censors there was absolutely positively no election fraud whatsoever.

Until that moment, April 2002 had been going okay for NJ con master, Thomas Giacomaro, author of the 2018 memoir The King of Con: How a Smooth-Talking Jersey Boy Made and Lost Billions, Baffled the FBI, Eluded the Mob, and Lived to Tell the Crooked Tale.

True, he was doing 18 months for embezzlement at Fort Dix prison, just south of Trenton. But it was easy time in a low-security prison. And he was such a clean, neat inmate…he was a shoo-in to get out by Christmas.

Etsy Goes on Strike, Now Talk about Forming a Union

Ridgewood NJ, over 14,000 Etsy workers are striking from 11 to 18 April to protest the company’s increase in transaction fees. The workers are asking the company to cancel its fee increase, take down resellers who offer mass-produced goods, introduce a faster seller support system, allow sellers to opt-out of off-platform advertising, and end the Star Seller program. Etsy says its new fee increase will allow it to invest in marketing, customer support, and moderation. The company’s revenue gains grew more than 106% in 2020 to $10 billion, and by another 31% in 2021.

Saddle River Planning Board Dismisses Court Ordered Affordable Housing Site Plan Over Variances

Saddle River NJ, the Saddle River Planning Board dismissed an application for one of its court ordered affordable housing site Wednesday evening .The developer Michael Kasparian insisted on a vote after he could not reach an agreement with the board over the height (17 ft) of a retaining wall  , one of nine variance and waiver points being debated that night.  Kasparian contends only three waivers are required and  said Thursday, “we will file a lawsuit to enforce our rights.”
