Closter NJ, on September 15th ,Closter Police Department reported that yet again, we had TWO more motor vehicles stolen last night. As long as the criminals are successful in stealing cars in Closter and the Northern Valley area they will continually come here. They will continually drive around our neighborhoods during the overnight hours and look for vehicles with the key fob inside. It is becoming increasingly more dangerous for the residents and local law enforcement if we all don’t lock our doors and take our key fob inside. If you have trouble remembering, set a reminder on your phone and again day later another stolen vehicle  with the key fob inside.

Ridgewood NJ, reminiscent of the 1997 Asian Contagion, a Chinese property owner implodes and shares of a U.S. social media and auction company dive. While it’s pretty clear why banks are quivering in the vortex surrounding China’s Evergrande Group, the link between the lender’s troubles and stocks like Twitter or EBay is harder to see. Meanwhile, Shanghai-based developer Sinic Holdings halted trading Monday after an 87% drop in its shares. The sudden selloff in Hong Kong was accompanied by a surge in trading volume that was about 14 times its average in the past year.

Ridgewood NJ, Bioscience and genetics company Colossal recently raised $15 million to recreate the wooly mammoth. The project involves taking skin cells from Asian elephants and reprogramming them into more versatile stem cells that carry mammoth DNA, then carrying embryos to term in a surrogate mother or artificial womb. The researchers hope they have their first set of calves in six years. While reintroducing herds of elephant-mammoth hybrids to the Arctic tundra may help convert landscapes to grassland and keep the ground cool, some scientists argue that it is not the most effective way to restore the tundra.

Ridgewood NJ, there is nothing more ridiculous than claiming “climate change” as a reason for poor planning  . Forced over development, including turf fields in floodplains  is a function of greed , and stupidity . Everyone, living or dead, knew the Ridgewood high school field flooded every time it rained . This has been documented since the school was built in 1895.

Inflation: The Middle Class Is Getting Poorer

Ridgewood NJ, Andy Puzder former chief executive officer of CKE Restaurants has compared real wage gains under Trump versus Biden so far.     Under Trump, real median income hit an all-time high since 1999, and fell, slightly in 2020 due to Covid shutdowns. Under Biden, wages are rising, but inflation is outpacing the paycheck gains. Maybe that’s another reason workers aren’t working.
