DISASTER SURVIVOR ASSISTANCE TEAMS COMING TO MUNICIPALITIES ACROSS BERGEN COUNTY

Hackensack NJ,  Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco and the Board of County Commissioners continue to urge residents and business owners impacted by Hurricane Ida to apply for Federal disaster relief. Starting tomorrow, FEMA will deploy Disaster Survivor Assistance Teams to municipalities across Bergen County to answer questions, assist with registration for FEMA Individual Assistance, and conduct inquiries on the status of existing applications. This support is supplemental to the Bergen County Disaster Recovery Center at the Bergen Community College Philip Ciarco Jr. Learning Center in Hackensack. Bergen County residents sustaining damage from Hurricane Ida are eligible to seek assistance at any of the following sites below:

Ridgewood NJ, several Ridgewood police cars were observed rushing into the Hudson Street Parking Garage shortly before 10 PM on Wednesday night, and heading up the ramps to the top floor.  Bystanders looking on from the sidewalk in front of Mt. Carmel wondered if there was a serious crime in progress, or worse yet, a distraught person threatening a jump from somewhere on the top floor.

Englewood Cliffs Council Special Meeting Dismisses Acting Borough Administrator and Several Attorneys

Wyckoff “Missing in Action” Eisenhower Middle School Principal Gets a Holiday on the Taxpayer

Wyckoff NJ,  on Monday ,the Wyckoff suspended Eisenhower Middle School Principal Christopher Iasiello will get a holiday at taxpayers expense .  The Wyckoff Board of Education gave Iasiello  a year’s paid leave of absence was granted in return for his resignation.  The paid leave comes after a six-month paid suspension, and will extend from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022. On that date, Iasiello’s resignation from the district will become effective.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the Hasbrouck Heights Police Department under the direction of Officer In Charge Captain Joseph Rinke, and the Barnstable, Massachusetts Police Department under the direction of Chief Matthew Sonnabend.

Ridgewood NJ,  in an expert review published September 13 online in the peer-reviewed journal The Lancet, a group of US and international scientists claim current evidence does not support providing booster doses of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines to the general public. The group—including 2 departing US FDA officials and WHO experts—said that any decision to provide additional vaccine doses should be evidence-based, concluding that despite a small drop in protection against symptomatic disease caused by the Delta variant, authorized vaccine regimens continue to provide high levels of protection against severe disease and hospitalization for all major SARS-CoV-2 variants. The authors acknowledged that some additional doses might be needed immediately for certain elderly and immunocompromised populations, but they encouraged prioritizing primary immunizations over booster shots for the general public.
