Hasbrouck Heights NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of MARIBEL RIOS aka MARIBEL ROCHE (DOB: 12/02/1969; married; bookkeeper) of 75 Lasalle Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ on charges of Money Laundering and Theft. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Bogota Police Department under the direction of Chief Daniel Maye.

Ridgewood NJ, as previously reported on or about May 15, 2021, the Glenwood Road Hill will be closed while the NJ Department of Transportation and NJ Transit improve the railroad crossing at the Ho-Ho-Kus train station. This closure will last for approximately 30 days. When Glenwood Road reopens, it will be a one-way street, down the hill.

I don’t know if you have seen any of my writings about eliminating our EMT’s in favor of hiring 2 more firemen—high pay, benefits, will they drive the EMT’s truck or will you have to buy something new for them? etc. etc.)I just wrote a new one in Facebook, but I, and many others, can’t see why you would want to take away our wonderful EMT’s—Bill and I have had MUCH experience with them the last few years—for more firemen. The whole crew always arrives at our house—and the EMT’s are THE FIRST RESPONDERS. the firemen sit in their truck, the policemen wander around (they do come in our house occasionally because they know us but they DO NOT interfere with the EMT’s).

Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday at the Village Council meeting chief financial officer Bob Rooney laid out the case for a 4.3 percent municipal tax increase .Rooney explained that a tax increase is needed due to lost revenues from COVID-19, consecutive years of modest or no tax increases, and the use of one-time, non-recurring revenues to balance the budget. The 52.9 million Village budget including the 4.3 percent municipal tax increase will be voted on by the Village Council at the May 12 meeting .
