Jennings Creek Wildfire Update: 90% Contained in Passaic County

West Milford NJ, as of 10 a.m. on Friday, November 15, the New Jersey Forest Fire Service has achieved 90% containment of the Jennings Creek Wildfire, which has been burning across Passaic County, NJ, and Orange County, NY. The wildfire has impacted 2,283 acres in New Jersey, but thanks to the diligent efforts of firefighting crews, significant progress has been made in controlling its spread.

NJ TRANSIT Approves New Operator of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) System

Hoboken NJ, The NJ TRANSIT Board of Directors has approved a contract for a new operator of the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) system.  The contract was awarded to ACI-Herzog JV which will become the second operator since the HBLR began operating in 2000.  The contract includes operation of the light rail system and the maintenance of the light rail vehicles, infrastructure and the right-of-way.
