Ridgewood High School senior Isabella Winn is one of the top soccer midfielders in the state with the uncanny ability to make a difficult game look easy. She sees openings that others can’t and swoops in to win ball battles that others won’t. She is graduating in January to get a head start in college with the defending national champion UCLA Bruins.

Upper Saddle River NJ, Francis J. Grout, 92, on September 18, 2023 of Upper Saddle River, NJ. Beloved husband of the late Philomena. Loving father of Jason and the late Michael. Francis was a member of the Upper Saddle River Fire Department and achieved Chief status. He was mayor of Upper Saddle River from 1990 – 1999. Francis was a Korean War Veteran. He was a great handyman and loved to build things around the house. He also had an excellent sense of humor and was a great storyteller. Visitation was held on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 9 AM – 11 AM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass was celebrated following visitation at 11:30 AM at Church of the Presentation in Upper Saddle River. Interment will follow at Saddle River Reformed Church Cemetery in Upper Saddle River.
