Stepson Charged in Cresskill Baseball Bat Murder

Cresskill NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JOHN DANIELS, JR. (DOB: 4/25/1993; single; unemployed) of 151 Stonegate Trail, Cresskill, NJ, on charges of murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, hindering apprehension by suppression, hindering apprehension by providing false information, and unlawful possession of a weapon.  The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Cresskill Police Department under the direction of Chief James Domville.

Thursday Morning Crash at the Intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and North Maple Avenue

Ridgewood NJ, no injuries were reported in connection with a late Thursday morning, 08/24, two (2) vehicle collision at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and North Maple Avenue, Ridgewood. A Toyota minivan involved in the crash was propelled up onto a sidewalk and narrowly missed slamming into a nearby office building. Both vehicles were removed by a flatbed tow truck. Ridgewood Police responded to the incident.

Newark NJ, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today announced the new Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport is now fully operational with the opening of the final five gates of the terminal alongside additional retail and dining outlets and the transfer of Delta Air Lines operations and Sky Club lounge from Terminal B.

Westwood Fire Fighters Take Out Early Morning Dumpster Fire

Westwood NJ, Wednesday morning at 6:45 am, the Westwood Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a reported dumpster fire in a apartment building complex on Kinderkamack Road. Engine 1 arrived on scene and stretched 1 line to extinguish a well involved dumpster fire. Engine 1-2 was also on scene and assisted with overhaul.

Death Toll Continues to Rise: 3 More Whales Wash Ashore in the Tristate Area

Long Branch, NJ, Recently three more deceased right Whales came to rest on area beaches. Two in NY waters and one on the beach in Long Branch, NJ. Bringing the total to 14 whales since January of
this year in our area. The total in all 2022 was 10 according to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center which keeps track of such occurrences.

Fair Lawn Police Summoned to Thomas Edison School as Ninja Dressed Martial Arts Teacher Raises Concerns

Fair Lawn NJ, several Fair Lawn Police uniformed patrol officers were dispatched to the Thomas Edison School on Wednesday morning, 08/23, to in response to a telephone call from the school’s security officer reporting an unknown individual on school property dressed in a Ninja costume, carrying what appeared to have been two (2) swords. Responding officers identified the individual in question as a local resident who was teaching martial arts in a public park located behind the school. The objects she was carrying were imitation swords. The individual was cautioned about the use of the imitation swords on public property and escorted home. No further police action was taken.

Netflix to Shut Down DVD Rental, Plans to Give Away DVDs

Ridgewood NJ, Netflix is shutting down its DVD rental service on September 29. Customers can keep any remaining DVDs they have after the service shuts down. Subscribers can potentially receive up to 10 discs for free as Netflix clears out its inventory.
