Driver Backs into Construction Pit at Paramus Nursery

Paramus NJ, no injuries were reported following a Sunday morning, 05/28, crash in which the driver of a Subaru Outback inadvertently backed into a large construction pit in the rear of a commercial nursery located on Pascack Road in Paramus. Paramus Police  responded to the mishap. Two (2) flatbed tow trucks were used to extricate the vehicle from its predicament.

Orange and Rockland Power Begins Major Tree Trimming Project in Saddle River

Saddle River NJ, Orange & Rockland trims trees to remove trees along their distribution lines at least every four years, and on our transmission lines every three years. We trim about 1,200 miles of our distribution system every year.

Tree Branch Takes Out Primary Power Service Line in Wyckoff

Wyckoff NJ, Saturday morning  the Wyckoff Fire department was dispatched for a reported structure fire on Helena Avenue. Upon crews arrival, a small electrical fire and smoke condition was located inside the home. This appeared to be due to a tree branch that took the primary power service line down. Crews extinguished and overhauled the area. Orange and Rockland Electric made the proper repairs.

Waldwick Dumpster Fire Caused by Improper Disposal of Floor Refinishing Products

Waldwick NJ, just after noon the Waldwick, NJ Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the third call of the day, an active fire in a dumpster trailer parked in the driveway of a home on Glenair Avenue which was in close proximity to the home. First arriving Squad 633 pulled one attack line to knock down the fire.

Fairview NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that on May 23, 2023, RAUL TORRES of North Bergen, NJ and CARLOS BURGOS of Jersey City, NJ were sentenced to 30 years in New Jersey State Prison (“NJSP”) after pleading guilty to aggravated manslaughter, robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and weapons offenses in connection with the death of David Duque Soto in Fairview, NJ on June 29, 2019.

Bergenfield Man Wanted on Attempted Murder Charges

Bergenfield NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella is seeking the public’s assistance for information leading to the arrest of AARON SIERRA (DOB: 10/10/2000; single; unemployed) of 87 N Taylor Street, Bergenfield, NJ, on charges of attempted murder, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun, receiving stolen property and obstruction of justice by flight. These charges are the result of an ongoing investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Bergenfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Mustafa Rabboh.

American Legion Post 53 Takes Part in Benjamin Franklin Middle Schools Annual Memorial Day Remembrance
