Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Baseball and Softball opening day . Ridgewood Baseball and Softball’s 70th annual Opening Day Parade and Family Fun Day to kick off the start of the Ridgewood baseball and softball seasons at Vets Field on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 9 AM to 1 PM.
More than 1200 athletes marched in the parade through town and join their families at VETS field for the Opening Day Family Fun Day Celebration. There are food trucks, inflatables, music, vendors, a Varsity
Baseball game, and several rec baseball and softball games. It is a great community event to kick off the start of the season .

East Rutherford NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that on April 19, 2023, FRANCIS TATTOLI of East Rutherford, NJ was sentenced to 55 years in New Jersey State Prison after being convicted of murder, kidnapping, and felony murder in connection with the death of Monet Thomas in December 2016.

Fort Lee NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of ANTHONY NUNEZ (DOB: 4/05/1991; single; unemployed) of 100-05 92ND Avenue, Richmond Hill, NY; JOSE A. CASTRO-LOPEZ (DOB: 12/27/1988; single; unemployed) of 71 Union Street, Lodi, NJ; and GABRIEL GUZMAN (DOB: 12/07/1994; single; unemployed) of 590 Cypress Avenue, Saddle Brook, NJ on drug offenses. The arrests are the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

Trenton NJ, A consortium of charitable pregnancy centers in New Jersey have filed suit against the State of New Jersey regarding the Attorney General’s issuance of a “Consumer Alert” on December 7, 2022, that unfairly tarnishes their reputation and disregards the valuable services the centers offer at no charge to thousands of women and their families each year. The lawsuit demands copies of the documentation that the Attorney General and Consumer Affairs Director possessed when making certain statements in the Alert that the Consortium asserts are misleading and misrepresent how pregnancy centers in New Jersey operate.

Union members were on strike for about a week before they agreed to go back to the classroom amid a tentative deal.
