Glen Rock NJ,  according to the Glen Rock PBA local 110 , Wednesday night was exciting for the Glen Rock Police Department. Officer Doney was sworn in as detective, Rev. Sean Manson became the new Police Chaplin, Lt. Mc Inerney was honored for his 20 years of service, & two new Class 1 Special Officers were sworn in, SPO William Pettit & SPO Tony Yorke Jr. Congratulations to all!

Governor Murphy Signs Executive Order to Close State Lands to 2018 Bear Hunt

Ridgewood NJ,  Governor Phil Murphy today signed an Executive Order directing the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to close all public lands under the Department’s jurisdiction to bear hunting for the 2018 season. This includes all State forests, State parks, State recreation areas, State historic sites, State Wildlife Management Areas and State natural areas.

Paramus NJ, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 2PM, United Airlines, the Official Airline of the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and Web.com Tour, is flying nine Special Olympic athletes—all of whom are top Special Olympic golfers—to THE NORTHERN TRUST for an inside-the-ropes, VIP experience with three PGA TOUR players: Rafa Cabrera Bello, Charley Hoffman, and J.J. Spaun. At The Ridgewood Country Club, the athletes will be escorted to their personal lockers in the locker room and will then participate in a skills clinic led by New Jersey Golf Foundation professionals. Each athlete will then proceed to the first tee of the tournament course to play three holes with one of the top 125 players on the PGA TOUR. Each athlete will be officially announced on the first tee. Following play, the athletes and their guests will attend a reception in the United Airlines Fairway Club.

Downed Line Leads to Massive Internet and Cable Outage

Paramus NJ, Pascack the Road between Soldier Hill Road and Linwood Ave was closed Sunday morning due to wires down in roadway. The downed wires lead to a major internet and cable TV outage in parts of Washington Twp and Paramus ,which started very early Sunday morning and ended Sunday Lunch time . Internet connectivity was lost at 1:44 am and was recovered and 12 pm the following day . The Ridgewood lost connectivity with the Administrator for 11 hours. Paramus Police closed off the road way and set up detours .

Paramus NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of MARQUISE JAQUAVIS SMITH (DOB: 03/01/2000; single; and unemployed) of 123 History Trail, Winterville, Georgia for Terroristic Threats and False Public Alarm. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.

Murphy Signs DePhillips bill putting New Jersey at the forefront of science and technology

Midland Park NJ,  Legislation (A3652/S2329) sponsored by Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips establishing a state commission on science, innovation and technology is now law.
DePhillips said the new law will help make New Jersey one of the most innovative states in the country in science and technology. New Jersey is currently a global leader in biotechnology, especially pharmaceuticals, but other states have been ramping up their efforts to get the industry to come to them.
