Residential Commuter Parking and CBD Employee Permit Parking regulations that were implemented due to the COVID-19 situation. The Mayor and the Council of the Borough of Glen Rock have
authorized several amendments to its permit parking regulations.

Glen Rock NJ, the Glen Rock Police Department Detective Bureau completed an on-going investigation regarding a residential burglary that occurred on the 500 block of Maple Ave back on January 20, 2021. This past week, Det. Doney charged a 28-year-old male by the name of Christopher Lassiter of Newark, NJ with burglary and theft and a 19-year-old female by the name of Taina Peppers of Newark, NJ with conspiracy to commit burglary for their alleged roles in the January 20th burglary. Both parties were issued complaint summonses and were assigned court dates for their first appearances.

Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to a multivehicle accident on Route 208 North just prior to Lincoln Avenue. Two vehicles remained on the scene, however, one fled. One person suffered minor injury but refused medical aid. A black Infinity G37 fled the scene north on Route 208, however, witnesses were unable to provide a license plate number. Anyone who may have witnessed the accident and can identify the vehicle is asked to contact the Glen Rock Police Department at (201) 652-3800.
Glen Rock NJ, between 9 AM and 1 PM on Friday June 4th , the Glen Rock Police Department, in conjunction with the NJ State Motor Vehicle Commission, held a vehicle inspection check point along Maple Avenue at Harding Plaza. The operation is designed to remove dangerous vehicles from the road and promote safe driving practices. The checkpoint also had the added benefit of allowing 70 motorists, whose vehicles were due for inspection, to have their vehicles inspected free of charge with only a short wait.
Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police Patrols were dispatched to 9-1-1 reports of a heated dispute at the Wilde Park basketball court involving two large groups some of whom decided to arm themselves with baseball bats. The responding officers, assisted by reinforcements from the Ridgewood and Fair Lawn Police Departments, were eventually able to deescalate and disperse those involved. No injuries or property damage occurred, and no one present claimed to be a victim or requested any police assistance. Later it was reported that the conflict lasted about 10 minutes and NO Baseball bats were found .
Glen Rock NJ, While on patrol in the area of the Boulevard Glen Rock Police Lt. Frank Riggio observed fresh graffiti painted on the concrete pillars underneath the Route 208 overpass. No one was found in the area and the New Jersey Department of Transportation was notified for removal. The Detective Bureau is currently reviewing various issues regarding graffiti that have occurred in the community recently.
Glen Rock NJ, the owner of a Ridgewood based landscaping service reported that someone had slashed the tire on his vehicle and broke into his landscaping trailer by cutting the lock. Both the vehicle and the trailer were parked at a commercial lot on the 400 block of Grove Street between 2:30 p.m. on May 25 and the time of the report. Stolen from the trailer were two weed trimmers and two leaf blowers valued at a total of $2,100. The Glen Rock Detective Bureau is currently investigating.
Glen Rock NJ, Following a two-week Glen Rock Police investigation, D/Sgt James Calaski arrested a 55-year-old Ridgewood man on shoplifting charges stemming from incidents that occurred at Bottle King Liquors on Prospect Street. The investigation was begun on May 12 when the management of Bottle King reported that $2,000 worth of wine had been stolen from the store on two separate dates in March and April. Through the review of receipts and video surveillance footage, detectives were able to identify the actor. On each occasion, the actor had taken expensive bottles of wine and placed them in cases marked at a lower price. The man would then check out paying the lower price, in each case defrauding Bottle King of $1,000 for two separate purchases.
Since the time of the arrest, full restitution has been made to Bottle King.
Glen Rock NJ, residents of Glen Rock who live near the Hamilton School have been plagued by a loud booming noise since early Saturday evening. Glen Rock Police, fire, and PSE&G personnel have thus far been unable to locate the noise’s origin. The noise is said to be loud enough to knock items off of shelves. A single family home on Romary Court is apparently being impacted more so than any other address in the Borough.
