Platkin and the Office of the Insurance Fraud Prosecutor today announced the indictment of a New Jersey woman for allegedly neglecting an elderly disabled person in her care. Glen Ridge NJ.  The Attorney General’s Office is investigating the death of a driver and a passenger of a motor vehicle who were fatally injured in a motor vehicle accident yesterday, May 10, 2022, after two Montclair police officers attempted to stop the vehicle on Bloomfield Avenue. The identities of the male decedents and a third injured individual are not being released at this time.

Platkin announced that eight defendants were indicted today on second-degree conspiracy and other charges related to the operation of a Paterson “chop shop” that possessed stolen vehicles and stripped them for parts. They were charged in a joint investigation by the New Jersey State Police (NJSP) and the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC).
