Paramus Police Nab Seven in Stolen Car

Paramus NJ, Seven Essex County teens face charges after police say they were pulled over in a stolen car early Monday morning in Paramus.

Paramus police report that around 12:38 a.m., police received a report that people were trying to break into cars in the area of Arbor Road and Bush Place, according to Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.

Westwood Women Struck by Car on Paramus Road

Paramus NJ, according to Paramus Police a 61-year-old Westwood woman died after being struck by a car in front of a church in Paramus on Sunday.

Paramus Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg said Around 11:30 a.m., police were called to the scene of the accident at Assyrian Apostolic Church on Paramus Road after receiving a report that a woman was hit while trying to cross the street.

Paramus NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of KENNETH F. PINTE (DOB: 8/8/1998; single; unemployed) of 5 Pleasant Avenue, Paramus, NJ on charges of Reckless Manslaughter, Hindering Apprehension, and Unlawful Purchase Of A Firearm. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg.

Court Rules Against Development in Single Family Zone in Paramus

Paramus NJ, a New Jersey appeals court has upheld the Paramus zoning board’s decision to reject a 35-unit multi-family development in a part of the borough that is zoned for single-family homes only. The developer Highview Homes proposed a 45-unit development for the site that would include parking and other amenities in 2016. Homes had purchased 1.8 acres on Sorbello Road,the project required that three single-family homes on the property be demolished.

Paramus NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of NICHOLAS DONNARUMMA (DOB: 4/15/2001; single; maintenance worker) of 145 Cambridge Avenue, Saddle Brook, New Jersey, on the charges of Terroristic Threats and False Public Alarm. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, along with the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton, the Paramus Police Department under the direction of Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg, and the Saddle Brook Police Department under the direction of Chief Robert J. Bergen Community College Gets the “All Clear” after Bomb Threat

Paramus NJ, Bergen Community College was deemed safe after all three campuses were evacuated due to a bomb threat made to the school on Monday, officials said. 

The college’s three locations ,one in Paramus, Hackensack and Lyndhurst. All campuse  were given the “all clear” as of 3 p.m., said Larry Hlavenka Jr., a spokesman for Bergen Community College. Classes resumed as scheduled after law enforcement secured the three campuses. 

According to their website Bergen Community College has 32,000 students in degree, continuing education and adult education programs across its three campuses.

Paramus NJ, Valley Hospital was opened in Ridgewood in 1951 . The “New” Valley Hospital celebrated the groundbreaking of it’s new hospital , with nearly two dozen shovels cutting into a berm of freshly mounded earth in Paramus on Friday morning signaling the start of construction on the “new” Valley Hospital a seven-story, 372-bed facility located 2½ miles and a decade away from the controversies that thwarted its expansion in Ridgewood.
