Hyunju Kwak Named Ridgewood School Board President

Ridgewood NJ, at Monday night Ridgewood Board of Education meet , the Board reorganized . Sheila Brogan, Hyunju Kwak, and Muhammad Mahmoud were sworn in for a three-year term, followed by nominations and the election of a new Ridgewood School Board president and vice president. Hyunju Kwak was elected president, and Michael Lembo was elected vice president.  The Ridgewood school district is the largest in Bergen County with 5,705 students .

Kids Belong in School or the School of their Choice

Ridgewood NJ, seems politicians learned NOTHING from the first rounds of Covid. So now, with the holiday break over, and time to get kids back in the classroom, and after taxpayers shelled out about $190 billion in ransom payments to the teachers unions to get them to, you know, teach, 2,200 schools are closed today.  And guess what: they are almost all in blue states and blue cities.

Ridgewood NJ, “TEST TO STAY” GUIDANCE The US CDC on December 17 said unvaccinated students exposed to a person with COVID-19 can remain in school if they are tested twice in the week following exposure and both tests are negative. The new guidance, known as “test to stay,” is an effort to keep children in school instead of having to quarantine at home and miss class, while also alleviating the burden on parents to arrange child care.

RHS Maroon Men Perform at Monday Nights Ridgewood Board of Education Meeting

A cappella music is a performance by a singer or a singing group without instrumental accompaniment, or a piece intended to be performed in this way.

Philadelphia PA, this Halloween marked the 50th anniversary of the prestigious Head of the Schuylkill Regatta. Although not quite as large as the Head of the Charles, this regatta is still one of the big ones, attracting nearly 9,000 rowers and over 30,000 spectators. It was considered to be the world’s largest one day regatta, until it grew so large that it had to be separated into two days. Collegiate teams, elite teams, and masters teams race on Saturday, while highschool and club teams race on Sunday.
