Teaneck firefighters quickly extinguished the fire confining it to the room of origin. Englewood Fire Ladder and Safety officer were also on scene.

Because of the high life safety risk, Englewood Fire and City of Hackensack Fire Department Ladders were requested to the scene. Members put the aerial to the roof to assist with ventilating the top floor fire. Englewood Fire Truck 2 and Car 4 operated for approximately one hour.

According to acting Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr, the teens range from ages 19, 16 and 15 were arrested Thursday after police stopped a suspicious vehicle and found one the boys with a 9mm handgun.
Teaneck NJ, according to Teaneck Deputy Police Chief Andrew McGurr, officers responded to a report of a 4-year-old girl being attacked by a dog at about 3:14 p.m. in the driveway at 137 Voorhees Street. “The mother reported to the officers that a loose brown-haired pit bull had just attacked her and her daughter as the mother was attempting to remove her daughter from a car seat in the rear of their vehicle,” Deputy Chief Andrew McGurr said. “A contractor, who was working on the block and heard the commotion, came to their aid and was able to get the dog to flee the scene.”
