Bridget Kelly Endorses Linda T. Barba for Bergen County Executive

These are the qualities that Linda T. Barba possesses and that is why I am backing her candidacy to be the next Bergen County Executive.

For years, and especially in the aftermath of COVID-19, Linda has spent day in and day out supporting and promoting local small businesses.  She understands that the backbone of Bergen County is not comprised of career politicians and their out of county cronies, but of the men and women who work each and every day in small businesses throughout this great County.  In my opinion, Linda is the ideal person to be the Republican Party’s standard bearer heading into this year’s election.

The Bergen County Historical Society : The 245th Anniversary of the British Invasion & American Retreat in Bergen County!

Historic New Bridge Landing , on November 20th, 1776, five thousand British, Hessian and Loyalist troops, under command of Lt. Gen. Lord Cornwallis, scaled the Palisades at Lower Closter Dock and marched against Fort Lee. Warned by an alert officer, the American garrison escaped entrapment by safely crossing the Hackensack River at New Bridge, now known as “the Bridge That Saved a Nation,” and lived to fight another day. To mark the 245th Anniversary of the “times that try men’s souls,” the Bergen County Historical Society, along with the Brigade of the American Revolution, will co-sponsor a day of living history on Sunday, November 21st 10 am-4 pm. 1201 Main Street, River Edge NJ.

Bergen County & Passaic County Approved for FEMA Major Disaster Declaration from Hurricane Ida Federal Relief

Ridgewood  NJ, both Bergen County and Passaic County were included in FEMA’s Major Disaster Declaration. The declaration will allow individuals in the approved counties to register at www.disasterassistance.gov for direct federal assistance for Ida-related recovery, which may include home repairs, temporary housing, low-cost loans, and other programs to help recover from the effects of the tropical storm.

BERGEN COUNTY TO HOST GROUNDBREAKING FOR ECOLOGICAL RESTORATION OF WILD DUCK POND IN SADDLE RIVER COUNTY PARK

Ridgewood NJ, a ceremony to mark the start of an ecological restoration project at the Wild Duck Pond in Saddle River County Park. The project scope includes replacing the pond liner and implementing stormwater best management practices, which will restore the pond’s wetlands and further support native wildlife. Funding for the restoration project comes from the Bergen County Open Space Trust Fund and a grant from NJ Green Acres.
