Englewood NJ, Englewood’s PBA issues a scathing letter blasting Englewood Mayor Michael Wildes for playing politics and grandstanding with law enforcement . In a statement the city’s police union calls the use of force by officers “appropriate and completely necessary.” in a clash at a Black Lives Matter rally last weekend . Englewood NJ, Four people were arrested at a Black Lives Matter rally in Englewood on Saturday. The BLM protest was a small crowd of 15 or so. There did seem to be as many police cars as protesters .
Many communities and police departments are on edge over BLM protests and tempers and patients seem to be very short. The protesters engaged the police in an altercation and police responded by making arrests.

I find it so interesting that people who live in places like Ridgewood and Greenwich claim to speak on behalf of folks who live a world away – not in miles but in practicality. I applaud the person here who suggested reading. These are complex issues and require one to really understand history and data to come to any reasonable conclusion. I also agree that the education system is broken. In short, the liberalism has created a distorted view and poisoned the well of young minds. It pushes a singular view point instead of encouraging students to seek out knowledge from different sources. I find it interesting that folks on the Democratic side either do not know, or forget, the party’s own history. This is the party that created “Jim Crow”. It is the party of segregation. It is the party of Fascism. Read the history folks. These are simple facts. The Nuremburg laws where created in the late 1930’s, not out of thin air, but modelled after the segregationist laws of the US deep south. FDR was a huge fan of Moussolini – and the list goes on.”

Ridgewood NJ, a reader asked ,”How would/should movements like BLM stop the violence in inner city communities? What should local municipalities (black-run or not) do to stem the violence? One way could be to allocate more resources to education, to allocate resources to community programs, to allocate resources to places like Planned Parenthood, etc. — all things that many commentators and authors on this blog would be against. So what do you experts think?”
The Ridgewood decided to ask a expert Shelby Steele is the Robert J. and Marion E. Oster Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution. He specializes in the study of race relations, multiculturalism, and affirmative action. He was appointed a Hoover fellow in 1994.

It would help those belonging to the Ridgewood For Black Liberation movement to figure out just why it is they are disrupting the peace in the Village of Ridgewood before the local citizens decide they, too, have rights. Among these are “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” which doesn’t include continual disruption of daily life by people obsessed with being in the spotlight.”

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood saw witness to another “Black Lives Matter” protest on Saturday . Demonstrators were attempting to show solidarity with those demonstrating in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Ridgewood protests so far have been high on drama but low on substance.
The groups Ridgewood for Black Liberation, Brother’s United Bike Club and other community allies gathered at Van Neste Square Memorial Park to protest the shooting of Jacob Blake, 29, who was shot multiple times by a police officer in the Wisconsin town 40 miles south of Milwaukee. The group also marched to protest other instances of what they claim is police brutality.

In an ironic twist, the “Defund the Police” movement has actually created quite the opposite scenario, where these protests have actually funded the police by the tune of 40k more.”

Ridgewood NJ, Governor Phil Murphy signed legislation (A1906), which would amend current law to include false incrimination and filing a false police report as a form of bias intimidation. The bill also establishes crime of false 9-1-1 call with purpose to intimidate or harass based on race or other protected class.

“There will also be some level of Police presence at any organized event. For a BLM march, you had better believe there will be a large police presence. Why? If you have to ask this, then I can only assume you get your news from MSNBC/CNN or any of the other alphabet news stations. They carefully edit their reports to make sure that the marches are all rainbows and butterflies. Many actually are, but a lot have resulted in violence and damage. Of course, it’s your right to have a demonstration, but those police officers have to be paid for, and that’s the responsibility of those that organize the march.”

“As much as I detest these nihilists, Marxists, agitators (call them anything but protesters) I don’t think billing organizers for police overtime is a viable solution. I also don’t want these people destroying parks. The solution is what’s called the broken window strategy. Get to the rally early and start making arrests for any real offense, however petty. This prevents any real unrest. This is the strategy that helped turn NYC around in the 1990s. It’s common sense and it works and Ridgewood should use it. And everyone should take note of the similarities between Ridgewood and Kenosha. Both in Democrat run states, both about 50 miles from a very large city and very similar demographics.”

Englewood Cliffs NJ, A teen who organized a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest this summer was hit with an unexpected bill for $2,500 for police overtime from the borough. Obviously if you plan an event that expends police resources, you need to fit the bill. That’s standard procedure. Every town needs to do this when a permit is pulled. Pay up.
