Paramus NJ, The driver of a Ford F150 pickup truck was extricated from his vehicle and transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus following an early Tuesday morning, 11/14, crash on Route 4 eastbound in Paramus, near Paramus Road. No other vehicles appeared to have been involved in the mishap. A flatbed tow truck righted the pickup and removed it from the highway.

Hackensack NJ, on October 27th at approximately 11:50am City of Hackensack Fire Engine 2, Rescue 1 and Deputy 3 responded to 70 Polifly Road on a report of a possible collapse. Arriving units found front awning had collapsed with one construction worker injured. City of Hackensack Firefighters provided first aid and checked for injuries on a male patient. HUMC ALS and BLS took over patient care, firefighters assisted with packaging of patient for transport to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. City Building Department, Electrical Inspector and Fire Prevention were notified and responded to the scene. Firefighters secured power to the collapsed awning, Investigators from OSHA were notified and responded for the investigation.

East Rutherford NJ, at approximately 1:30 PM, October 28th the Hackensack Fire Department Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Rescue, in collaboration with several UASI Fire Departments, demonstrated exceptional teamwork and expertise in response to a building collapse incident at 170 Union Street, East Rutherford. The coordinated effort resulted in the successful rescue of a heavily entrapped victim.

Hackensack NJ, according to data compiled by Becker’s, Hackensack University Medical Center with 133,190 visits recorded the highest volume of emergency department visits in 2022 among individual facilities in the State of New Jersey and ranked 10th in the country . St. Joseph’s University Medical Center (Paterson, N.J.) had 112,690 visits came in second in the state and the 23rd highest volume emergency room in the country and Morristown Medical Center was the third busiest in the state with 103,674 visits and 35 busiest in the country.

Paramus NJ, the driver of a Nissan Kicks subcompact SUV was transported by a Paramus EMS ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus following an early Friday morning, 10/27, crash in which the Nissan slammed head on into a school bus at the intersection of East Midland Avenue and From Road, Paramus. There were no students on the Bergenfield Board of Education owned bus at the time and the bus driver was uninjured. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by tow trucks. Paramus Fire Department Engine Company #1 attended to a crash related fluid spill. The Nissan’s driver sustained a non life threatening facial injury. Schools open drive carefully .

Paramus NJ, a two (2) vehicle, early afternoon Friday the 13th rollover crash at the intersection of Paramus Road and Starling Court, Paramus temporarily closed Paramus Road in both directions at the crash site. One (1) individual was transported by Paramus EMS to Hackensack University Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Paramus Police Emergency Services Unit officers righted the KIA SUV that had rolled over after being T-boned by a Honda Pilot. A flatbed tow truck removed both heavily damaged vehicles from the scene.

Fort Lee NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Fort Lee Police Department have determined that the circumstances surrounding the death of a 7-year-old boy at a residential apartment complex on Anderson Avenue yesterday were the result of a tragic accident and no criminal activity was involved. On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at approximately 5:29 p.m., the Fort Lee Police Department responded to a 911 call regarding a report that a 7-year-old boy had fallen from an upper-floor window. The child was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center and ultimately pronounced deceased.

Paramus NJ, Paramus EMS transported one (1) victim to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus following a two (2) vehicle, Saturday afternoon collision at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Midland Avenue. The victim reportedly sustained non life threatening arm and facial injuries. Both vehicles, a Honda CRV and a Tesla, were towed from the scene. Paramus Police and the Paramus Police Reserves also responded.

Paramus NJ, a pedestrian was gravely injured when she was struck by a black colored SUV in the parking lot of ShopRite, 224 East Route 4 in Paramus shortly after 1 PM on Labor Day, Monday, 09/04. The victim was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s (HUMC) main campus. A paramedic team from HUMC was onboard the ambulance, and a Paramus Police Emergency Services Unit vehicle also assisted in the transport. Detectives from Paramus Police immediately began an investigation into the occurrence.
