Cliffside Park NJ, a 15-year-old girl from Cliffside Park is recovering in the hospital after being struck by a car while sitting in a driveway in North Bergen on Tuesday afternoon. The incident, which occurred around 4:30 p.m., has left the community shaken.
River Edge NJ, on April 12 at approximately 2:05 pm, New Milford Fire Department was dispatched for a water rescue at the 100 block of New Bridge Road. New Milford Fire Chief 301 was first on scene along New Milford and River Edge Police. New Milford’s Marine 38 squad responded with their Boat and rescue team. Mutual aid from River Edge and Oradell Fire Departments responded with there rescue boats as well.
Paramus NJ,the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado crew cab pickup truck was pulled unconscious from his vehicle by Paramus Police ESU officers after he crashed head on into a tree in the 100 block of East Midland Avenue, Paramus late Thursday morning, 04/11. CPR was immediately begun by police officers, who were supplemented by arriving EMTs and paramedics. The victim was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A flatbed tow truck removed the heavily damaged pickup truck from the scene. The single vehicle accident’s cause remains under investigation.
Garfield NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrests of JAYSON RIVERA (DOB: 12/25/2000; single; unemployed) of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania; BRYANT SANCHEZ (DOB: 11/29/1997; single; carpenter) of Paterson, NJ; ERONY SANCHEZ (DOB: 04/02/1996; single; unemployed) of Clifton, NJ; and DANTE MOORE (DOB: 08/14/1990; single; retail) of Passaic, NJ on murder charges. RICKY “ANGEL” VARGAS (DOB: 07/18/1988; single; unemployed) of East Stroudsburg, PA was charged with murder and is currently a wanted fugitive from justice. The arrests were the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Acting Chief Matthew Finck and the Garfield Police Department under the direction of Chief Richard M. Uram.
Paramus NJ, an adult female was struck and critically injured early Saturday afternoon, 03/16, at the Paramus Public Library’s East Century Road branch. The victim was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. Paramus Police are investigating the incident. Photographic evidence collection is being provided by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
Saddle Brook NJ, three (3) vehicles were heavily damaged and towed from the scene of an early Friday morning, 02/02, crash that occurred on Pehle Avenue near Liberty Street in Saddle Brook. The driver of a Honda CR-V traveling eastbound on Pehle Avenue at approximately 6:15 AM veered off of the roadway, mounted a curb, and traveled down a sidewalk parallel to the street, striking a parked BMW sedan and damaging fences, shrubbery, and mailboxes along the way. The Honda rolled over onto its driver’s side after striking & demolishing an Acura parked in a driveway at 58 Pehle Avenue. Saddle Brook PD patrol officers freed the Honda’s driver, who was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus with unspecified injuries. Tow trucks removed all three (3) damaged vehicles from the scene. Saddle Brook FD also responded to the incident.

Paramus NJ, a man was repeatedly stabbed during a road rage incident late Thursday morning, 12/28, on Route 4 eastbound in Paramus in front of a lighting store. The victim was rushed by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. Initial reports are that the victim sustained wounds in his back and on one (1) arm. Police are actively search for the perpetrator, an adult male who is said to have fled the scene in a white colored sedan. Paramus Police was assisted at the scene by multiple Bergen County law enforcement agencies.
Hasbrouck Heights N, a young girl had the extraordinary opportunity to meet her heroes—two fire fighters who saved her life when she experienced a seizure in the car while her mother desperately tried to call 911.
Fair Lawn NJ, a flatbed truck carrying lumber to a job site, slammed into a guard rail on Plaza Road, Fair Lawn, dumping its entire load in the process. The mid Monday afternoon, 12/18, crash injured the truck’s driver, who was transported by a Fair Lawn EMS ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A team of lumber company employees cleared the mess with the help of a large fork lift. The truck itself was removed from the scene by a heavy duty wrecker. Fair Lawn Police investigated the mishap.
Glen Rock NJ, A two (2) vehicle late Saturday morning, 12/16, collision at the intersection of Maple Avenue and Rodney Street, Glen Rock resulted in the rollover of a Honda SUV, whose probationary driver was transported by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus for treatment of minor injuries. A hydraulic lift tow truck righted the vehicle and removed it from the scene. Glen Rock Police, Glen Rock Fire Department, and Glen Rock EMS responded to the incident.

Hackensack NJ, a collision involving two motor vehicles occurred at the intersection of Summit Avenue and Marvin Avenue, resulting in reported injuries. The incident unfolded this afternoon while emergency responders from City of Hackensack Fire Engine 2 were en route to another call. Upon reaching the accident scene, they immediately offered assistance to the injured individuals.
