Ho-Ho-Kus Fire with the Aid of Waldwick and Ridgewood Fire Departments Clear Route 17 Vehicle Fire in 45 Minutes

Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, on Tuesday May 10th the Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department around 6:40 was dispatched to Route 17 southbound near Racetrack Rd. for a reported vehicle fire. Engines 733 & 731 arrived to find a fully-involved utility van on the shoulder. Crews quickly extinguished the fire, assisted by Waldwick Fire Engine 633 and Ridgewood Fire Engine 35. There were no injuries and all units cleared the scene within 45 minutes.

2 Alarm Barn Fire Draws Ho-Ho-Kus and Allendale Firefighter to Assist Saddle River Fire Department

Saddle River NJ, just before 6:30pm Sunday evening, the Saddle River Fire Department was requested to respond for a barn fire in the South East section of the town. A 2nd alarm was transmitted bringing in additional manpower and apparatus to combat the difficult blaze. Saddle River Fire Department apparatus deployed over 2500’ of fire hose. 3 firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion by Valley Hospital’s BLS. A special thank you to our brothers and sisters at Allendale Fire Department and Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department for helping us repack the hose onto our apparatus back at Saddle River Fire Department .

No Injuries Report in Saddle River Fire

Saddle River NJ, the Saddle River Fire Department was requested to a home on the East side of town for a reported structure fire. Upon signing in service, Chief Salvatori was advised by Saddle River Police Department that the attached garage was fully involved and he asked for his 2nd alarm mutual aid companies.

Saddle River Fire Brings Out Multi Borough Response

Saddle River NJ,on Tuesday March 24th at approximately 12:10 pm the Saddle River Fire Department was requested to a home within the borough for a report of a possible fire. Upon their arrival , Chief Salvatori arrived on scene and found smoke showing from the residence and requested a second alarm be transmitted. Engine 1131 arrived on scene and began advancing a hose into the structure to extinguish the fire. Ladder 1141 arrived on scene second , began laddering the building and assisting with the fire attack. The fire was under control shortly at approximately 12:30pm and Saddle River Fire Department  sends a big Thank you to all of the mutual aid who responded to the scene and covered the firehouse.

Residents on all borough streets will have the special opportunity to greet Santa Claus, take photos, and receive a candy cane from Santa, himself! This long standing tradition, known as “Operation Santa Sunday” will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. “Neighbors Helping Neighbors.”

Ho Ho kus NJ, According to the  Ho-Ho-Kus Volunteer Fire Department , at approximately 16:52 hours Department 7 responded to a residence on Bernard Place for a fallen tree onto a house and vehicle with an occupant trapped inside the vehicle. Arriving units advised live wires were involved and reported access problems to the trapped occupant. PSE&G was dispatched before rescue operations could begin. Once power was secured to the area companies extricated the occupant who was transferred to the care of EMS with non-life threatening injuries. The home involved suffered extensive structural damage.
