Ridgewood NJ, at Monday Nights Ridgewood Board of Education meeting Lerch, Vinci & Higgins, LLP Partner and Auditor Andrew Parenti gave a presentation of the annual report before the board on the audit of the 2022-2023 school year. Two reports were shared and discussed: the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and the Auditor’s Management Report, which includes findings and recommendations.

Ridgewood NJ, during Monday night’s BOE meeting, a resident alleged that BOE president Michael Lembo unlawfully formed a new BOE committee (the “personnel” committee). State law prohibits formation of committees without prior BOE approval. No such approval was obtained by Mr. Lembo, said the speaker.

Ridgewood NJ, The recent troubles in the Mideast have hit very close to home and so many friends and neighbors have been affected . Imam Mahmoud Hamza and Rabbi Fine led a group of religious leaders and some local elected local officials from the Ridgewood Board of Education and the Village Council in a vigil and press conference bringing together Jewish and Muslim residents in a unified stance of peace and unity. The vigil was keep small and just about neighbors . Imam Mahmoud Hamza said ,”We hope that this message of peace and unity will reverberate in our community and we can be an example to others”

Ridgewood NJ, on November 7th the Village has to make some decisions as to the direction of the Ridgewood school system . The choice is clear either the residents opt for a school district run for the benefit of the teachers union and give over control of their children to the NJEA and their enforcers or residents put children and their education first .
