Ridgewood NJ, after a slight delay due to rain, the  Ridgewood High School class of 20-21 held its graduation ceremony . Like the rest of the year the graduation did not come easy for the class of 20-21, but the rain subsided enough and the event proceeded.

Ridgewood NJ,  Building on the success of the RHS Alumni Career Speaker Series, the Ridgewood High School Alumni Association (RHSAA) launched a complementary program, the RHS Alumni Externship Program (RAX), designed to give juniors and seniors an interactive career mentorship experience with professionals in a variety of career fields and positions. RHS alumni eagerly responded to this unique opportunity to give back to their high school community in a way that would have a meaningful impact on the next generation of leaders, innovators, creators and thinkers.

Ridgewood High School Invention Teams Advance as Finalists in the 2021 STEAM Tank Challenge

Ridgewood NJ, The Applied Engineering Club at Ridgewood High School submitted eight team entries to the New Jersey STEAM Tank Invention Competition this year, and all of the teams have been designated as regional finalists. The five teams who were named finalists in last year’s regional competition will also be advancing the next round of the competition, as it was canceled last year due to the pandemic. Regional finalists will present their virtual pitch presentation in March, April and May, and the winners will be announced during the NJEA Convention next year.

Ridgewood NJ, The Ridgewood High School InvenTeam is one of only 13 teams nationwide to be awarded a Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam grant to create their Solar Aqua Tech (SAT) water bottle, a reusable, self-sanitizing water bottle. In June, InvenTeams will present, showcase, and celebrate working prototypes of their inventions at the Lemelson-MIT EurekaFest.

Team Woodchips worked many hours to get the different parts to work together and take another step in their competition season.

Seven Ridgewood High School students Receive Prestigious Art Award

Ridgewood High School has earned the College Board’s AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood High School has earned the College Board’s AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for expanding young women’s access to AP Computer Science Principles (CSP). This award acknowledges 1,119 schools for their work toward equal gender representation during the 2019-20 school year—nearly 37% more than the 818 schools recognized the previous year. Ridgewood High School is is one of only 831 schools to be recognized for achieving this important result in CSP.
