Paramus NJ, the Valley Hospital’s simulation center is excited to announce it is the first hospital in New Jersey and New York to take delivery of a new adult manikin called HAL S5301, or Hal for short, manufactured by Gaumard. Hal is a high-fidelity, full-body manikin, meaning he has the ability to mimic human functions.

Now, NBC Weekend Today in New York’s own “Produce Pete” Napolitano and co-author Susan Bloom was at The Valley Hospital in Paramus for a book discussion for his memoir/cookbook, “They Call Me Produce Pete,” followed by a produce demo and book signing last Thursday, June 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Paramus NJ,the male driver of a black colored Nissan Altima was transported to The Valley Hospital by a Paramus EMS ambulance following a late Thursday morning, 05/09, crash in which his vehicle careened off of Paramus Road northbound, up onto the lawn of a single family home, and slammed head on into a tree.

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood firefighters used a truck mounted winch to assist in the Saturday morning, 03/16, rescue of an adult male who broke an ankle while hiking in the Irene Habernickel Family Park. The individual was conscious and alert when firefighters arrived on scene, but stranded on a trail located at the bottom of a steep incline. After being extricated from the trail, the victim was loaded into a waiting ambulance and transported to The Valley Hospital. No firefighters were injured during the rescue operation. Ridgewood Police also responded to the incident.

Fair Lawn NJ, two (2) individuals were struck by at least one (1) vehicle near the intersection of Cedar Street and Maple Avenue, Fair Lawn shortly after 7:30 PM on Sunday, 01/28. Both individuals were transported by separate ambulances to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center. One (1) victim was gravely injured, the other was alert and conscious as he/she was being loaded into an ambulance. Paramedics from The Valley Hospital assisted Fair Lawn EMS personnel at the scene. Maple Avenue was closed in both directions near the crash site for an indefinite period to facilitate an accident investigation.
