Ridgewood Village Secures Town Garage Property, Ending Years of Eminent Domain Litigation

Ridgewood NJ, on Wednesday, September 11th, the Ridgewood Village Council reached a final resolution in the long-standing eminent domain litigation concerning the Town Garage property at 120 Franklin Avenue. Village Manager Keith Kazmark confirmed that the council approved a form of final consent judgment, bringing years of negotiations and legal battles to a close. With this agreement, the Village officially takes ownership of the property.

The Village of Ridgewood Picks Up a Mini Garbage Truck

Ridgewood Nj, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark ,the Village’s first mini garbage truck arrived this week! This new vehicle will be used at our apartment complexes and areas in the Central Business District. This truck will also perform other duties such as special bulk collections and be used at special events.

Election Year Update: Road re-surfacing efforts have been in full force in Ridgewood

West Saddle River Road, North Monroe Street, Union Street and Downs Street have all been paved. Thank you to all our residents in these neighborhoods for their patience and cooperation! Next up, working with Bergen County to resurface Ackerman Avenue this fall.

Ridgewood Manager’s Email on Schedler Soil Tests Ignores Roll of Village Engineering Department

Ridgewood NJ, in a recent email disseminated by the Village Manager Keith Kazmark, Kazmark claimed that at both the June 5th and August 7th Village Council meeting Matrix New World engineering presented the results of the soil tests at the Schedler Property on West Saddle River Road on the “berm” and then the rest of the property . The tests revealed enough evidence to warrant further testing of the property and if needed the property would have to be remediated.

Village of Ridgewood Property Tax Grace Period Extended to August 26th

Ridgewood NJ, according to the Village Manager Keith Kazmark , Village Tax bills were certified by the county on July 10, 2024 and will be mailed on July 31, 2024. The grace period to pay your bill has been extended to August 26, 2024. There are no estimated or preliminary bills this year.

Road Work Begins on West Saddle River Road in Ridgewood
