Paramus NJ, on Thursday due to the winter storm Route 17 was completely closed at Ridgewood Ave due to downed wires. Paramus Police reported at 4:42 am at A&S drive . At 530am NJDOT reported Rt 17 northbound all lanes closed and detoured, Southbound 2 left lanes closed at Ridgewood Ave in Paramus due to downed wires. Follow detour or plan alternate route. Use caution. According to Paramus Police Traffic was detoured at A&S drive left onto on Winters to Ridgewood Ave west, back onto 17 north . 17 north was reopened around 930am .

Forecasts also expect strong winds (up to 60mph) along with freezing rain through Thursday AM.
