Ridgewood NJ, the RHS TV Club and RHS Recording Studio are excited to release the first episode of our new series, In the Studio. Based off of the popular “Tiny Desk Concert” series by NPR, the goal of the In the Studio series is to feature the variety of musicians and ensembles at Ridgewood High School in all genres of music. Both the TV Club and Recording Studio Club worked behind the scenes to produce this show and are excited to share their work.

Retired Captain Greg Hillerman AKA “The Dude” passed away yesterday morning after a hard fought battle. Those who worked with and knew him will never forget all the fun he brought every single day. We’ll miss you brother ????????????. Visiting Monday from 4-8 PM and Tuesday from 9-10 AM, with a Service to follow at 10:30 AM, at the Feeney Funeral Home 232 Franklin Ave Ridgewood. Interment at Westwood Cemetery”

Employment Picture Remained Steady

Washington DC, yesterday the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported ,total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 223,000 in December, and the unemployment rate edged down to 3.5 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Notable job gains occurred in leisure and hospitality, health care, construction, and social assistance.

This is not only bad for the economy, but bad for people’s health, and happiness.  Employers have been saying that the work ethic is slipping with young workers. The WSJ poll results below seem to confirm that the younger generation puts less emphasis on work and excelling on the job than the boomer’s generation.
