Fallen High Tension Electric Cable Closes Route 208 Near De Boer Drive in Glen Rock

Glen Rock NJ,A fallen high tension electric cable resulted in the closure of Route 208 near De Boer Drive, Glen Rock late morning and early afternoon on Saturday, 07/30. The “hot” cable also caused several small brush fires along NJ Transit’s Main Line tracks under Route 208. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident, but motor vehicle traffic in the surrounding area was clogged for hours. Glen Rock Police and Glen Rock Fire Department  were assisted by multiple law enforcement and fire suppression agencies in handling the incident.

Hackensack NJ, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Hackensack Police Department are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Essex Street in Hackensack, NJ on Friday, July 29, 2022 at approximately 3:52 p.m. Responding officers transported one of the motorists to Hackensack University Medical Center where he died as a result of his injuries.

Crypto Exchange Coinbase facing an SEC investigation

Ridgewood NJ, Coinbase is facing an investigation from the US SEC over whether it allowed users to trade unregistered securities. The SEC started taking a closer look at the exchange after it added over 100 additional tokens to its platform. Coinbase is confident that its diligence process keeps securities off its platform. The investigation is separate from the SEC’s case against Coinbase’s former product manager and two other people for insider trading.

Lodi NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of ANDY PENA (DOB: 2/04/1981; single; truck driver) of 4 Ferndale Court, Lodi, NJ on charges of arson, aggravated arson, possession of a weapon and attempt to cause widespread injury or damage. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and the Lodi Police Department under the direction of Chief Donald Scorzetti.
