North Bergen NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of DYLAN E. RODRIGUEZ (DOB: 4/5/2001; single; construction worker) of 31 74th Street, North Bergen, NJ on charges of felony murder, hindering apprehension, possession of weapon for unlawful purpose, and conspiracy to commit, perjury, and tampering with evidence. The arrest is the result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, which is a continuing investigation of the murder of David Duque-Soto which occurred in Fairview on June 29, 2019.

A recent report conducted on the potency of cannabis and the increased risk of psychosis and addiction has 10th District Legislators saying “I told you so” to marijuana advocates. Recreational sales of marijuana are now available statewide, however, Senator Jim Holzapfel and Assemblymen Greg McGuckin and John Catalano stand firmly in their opposition to this change.

Police Chase of Stolen Vehicle Ends in Multi-vehicle Pileup on Route 17 Southbound in Rochelle Park

Rochelle Park NJ, Three (3) men were quickly apprehended in connection with a late Monday afternoon, 08/01, multi-vehicle crash on Route 17 southbound near East Passaic Street, Rochelle Park, that involved a white Mercedes SUV that was being pursued by Paramus Police units. The Mercedes had allegedly been stolen recently from Manalapan, NJ. At least two (2) tow trucks were observed removing wrecked vehicles from the clogged highway. A pursuing Paramus Police patrol vehicle was reportedly one of the vehicles damaged in the pileup. One (1) injury was linked to the incident; a Paramus EMS ambulance was dispatched to aid the adult female victim, who sustained a non-life threatening leg injury. Maywood Police and Rochelle Park Police officers aided in the capture of the suspects who had fled the crashed Mercedes.

SHELTON Ct, just in time for another heat wave Edgewell Personal Care Company (NYSE: EPC) today issued a voluntary nationwide recall of three batches of Banana Boat Hair & Scalp Sunscreen Spray SPF 30 to the consumer level as outlined in the table below. An internal review found that some samples of the product contained trace levels of benzene. While benzene is not an ingredient in any Banana Boat products, the review showed that unexpected levels of benzene came from the propellant that sprays the product out of the can.

Fair Lawn Police Bust Catalytic Converter Thief after 6 Go Missing at Bus Depot

Fair Lawn NJ, on 6/13/22 at 5:41 am, Fair Lawn Police responded to the school bus depot at 18-02 River Road on a report of catalytic converters missing from six vehicles with a total loss of $18,000. Det. Chris O’Shaughnessy took over the investigation and was able to identify a suspect (identified by Det. Schmiedhauser of Butler Police) that he sent to surrounding police departments to assist in apprehending.

Mahwah NJ, Route 202 TRAFFIC ALERT from Mahwah Police – As part of the upgrades to the old Carmel Retreat – there will be the installation of a water main from the area of Farmstead Road down Rt. 202 (south) to the HMH Carrier Clinic (1071 Ramapo Valley Road, formerly Carmel Retreat). The current plan is to start the project on Monday (7/25/22) with officers that day alternating traffic. On Tuesday, (7/26/22) we will have Rt. 202 south closed at Darlington Ave for people wishing to travel to Oakland NJ. The detour will be as follows: Left turn onto Darlington Ave., bear Right to Campgaw Road, Right turn onto Pulis Ave., Right turn onto Franklin Ave., a Left turn onto Colonial Road and ultimately leading vehicles to a Right turn onto Franklin Lakes Road which turns into Long Hill Road and back to Rt. 202.
