Multiple Vehicle Crash at the Intersection of Paramus Road and West Ridgewood Avenue Friday Afternoon

Paramus NJ, One (1) individual was transported by ambulance to The Valley Hospital following a multiple vehicle collision at the intersection of Paramus Road and West Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus on Friday afternoon, 06/24. Two (2) vehicles were towed from the scene. , Paramus Fire Department, Paramus EMS, and a paramedic team from The Valley Hospital responded to aid the victim.

Former Ridgewood Dry Cleaner Building Set for Redevelopment

Ridgewood NJ, a mixed-use building in Ridgewood will be redeveloped into a new retail location with second-floor office space. The announcement of the project was made June 22 by Lee & Associates New Jersey. The firm arranged the sale of the 3,200-square-foot site at 15 Godwin Avenue, which currently houses Spotless Cleaners & Dryers , to family real estate company Abaco.

Former Head of Corporate Communications of New Jersey-based Biopharmaceutical Company Admits Insider Trading

Newark NJ, the former head of corporate communications for a biopharmaceutical company today admitted her role in an insider trading scheme, U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger announced.

Lauren S. Wood, 33, of Washington, D.C., pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge John Michael Vazquez to an information charging her with securities fraud. Stemming from the same alleged conduct, Usama Malik, also of Washington, D.C., was previously charged in a three-count indictment with insider trading, securities fraud, and securities fraud conspiracy.

Platkin announced today that the New Jersey Bureau of Securities has issued a Summary Cease and Desist Order to Secaucus-based National Realty Investment Advisors, LLC (NRIA), and related entities and individuals, after determining the company fraudulently sold at least $630 million in securities to investors in New Jersey and across the nation from 2018 to 2022.

Hackensack NJ , Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of JEROME W. HARRIS (DOB: 11/20/1986; single; owner of a publishing company) of 9424 Skidmore Avenue, Brooklyn, NY on a charge of witness tampering. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, and Bergen County Sheriff’s Department under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton.

Range Rover Falls off a Car Carrier on Northbound 17 in Paramus

Paramus NJ, A Paramus Police supervising officer at the scene of a Thursday morning, 06/23, crash on Route 17 northbound under West Midland Avenue, Paramus was reluctant to say exactly why a Range Rover fell off of a new car carrier onto the traveled roadway, causing a crash with injuries involving at least one (1) other vehicle. The extent of injuries, and who was injured, was not revealed. Paramus Police, Paramus EMS, and Paramus Fire Company #3 responded to the incident. Two (2) vehicles, including the Range Rover, were towed from the scene by separate flatbed tow trucks.

Ridgewood NJ, nominating packets are available for Ridgewood residents who are registered voters and wish to run for and serve on the Ridgewood Village Council.  They may be picked up at the Village Clerk’s Office in Village Hall, 131 North Maple Avenue, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays.  The deadline for filing completed nominating petitions is September 6, 2022 at 4:00 p.m.

Pedestrian Sustains minor injuries after being Struck by a Sedan that jumped the curb and slammed in T-Mobile Store in Fair Lawn

Fairlawn NJ, two (2) pedestrians sustained minor injuries early Wednesday evening, 06/22, after being struck when a black colored 4-door Lexus sedan jumped a curb, drove across a sidewalk, and slammed head on into the front wall of a T-Mobile store located at 24-02 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn. Both struck pedestrians were evaluated at the scene by Fair Lawn EMS personnel and released after declining ambulance transportation to a local hospital. The Lexus was driven from the on its own power. Neither the vehicle’s driver nor passenger were injured in the mishap. There was moderate damage to the T-Mobile store’s front wall. Fair Lawn Police and Fair Lawn EMS responded to the incident.

Brave’s Search Engine lets You Customize Your Search Results

Ridgewood NJ, Brave Search has launched a new feature called Goggles that lets users create and apply custom filters that change how their results are ranked. The feature will allow developers to create filters with functions such as removing tech blogs, removing Pinterest, or filtering out posts from the 1,000 most-viewed sites on the web. Several demo Goggles are now available, but Brave will delete these once developers start creating their own. Brave Search is now out of beta.

Private Spacecraft Heading to the Moon

Ridgewood NJ, NASA and Rocket Lab will fly a privately built satellite to a special orbit that is neatly balanced between the gravity of the Earth and the Moon. The mission will test out the parameters of this orbit and verify its stability. NASA intends to assemble a small space station in the orbit. This will be the first interplanetary mission launched by a small liquid-fueled rocket. More details about the mission are available in the article.
